We parked in the block between train station and bombero's station for two nights. There is a public bathroom one block away in market behind bomberos. Easy access to numerous restaurants and train ticket office.
We did put up windshield covers but left pop-up camper up. Had no security problems. Plenty of foot traffic walking by. Quieted down around 10pm Started up again around 6am.

Train doesn't run. Parking fee is 0,25 Dollar for 2h. Free after 5pm. Our friends didn't even have to pay a parking fee during the day.
We stayed for one night but the main attraction was the trainride. Besides that there is not much to see.
Really nice place. A little party until midnight but wasn't too much for us with earplugs. Calm after that and the morning no sound until 7/8. Good humitas at the cafe on the corner.
