Description

ADMIN NOTE: No overnight camping in vehicles. Tent camping only!!

No camping allowed on the parking of the park (only tent camping in the park). Gate closes at 5pm so we camped just outside the gate. It is at the end of a dead end road so quiet and safe.
Restuarant and toilets are available in the park 8am - 5pm

We parked our car in front of the gate to overnight. A lady of the park offered us for 30.000cop to sleep at the parking lot and use the bathrooms. We didn't, but you'll can ask at the restaurant if you want to. The gate is closed after 17:00. The official campings are only for tents, because you cannot go there by car.

Enjoy!

hola!! buenas noches querías saber cuánto vale la note para acampar!!

Report Check-In

We arrived just after 5pm. The vehicle entry gate on the left was open, so we drove up to the admin lodge/restaurant. We paid 74k COP for the two of us to camp & enter the park. We implied we were to camp in our van, and we were directed to camp in the large grassy area in front of the parking lot/lodge. We stayed 2 nights and were never asked how many nights total at check in, so I assume we could’ve stayed longer. We went into the park the next morning - no one was at the pedestrian trail entry when we entered or left to check our wrist bands. Bathrooms available with running water and potable water at the restaurant. Staying more than 1 night made the cost worth it. Fairly low foot traffic here so it was pretty tranquil - we didn’t mind the occasional planes.
We speak broken Spanish, so it’s possible communication was lost in translation with us camping in the van, but we had no issues at all! It’s not fantastic, and it’s not bad. We enjoyed the spot as a last minute “we need to be in nature” urge when in Bogota.

We slept here in our van 3 nights, the nights before and after visiting the park, and an additional night coming back from Soacha... There is a toilette building at the parking lot, short before going to ticket house. So it's possible to use it during the gate open time 8am-5pm, the restaurant as well.
Here you can count the flights which from or to Bogotá very well...... or ear plug help…
Their (tent) camping area costs extra 30k - didn't ask per person or per tent. But the days rained a lot, so we decided anyway not using our tent. Some of the staffs were friendly, some were not happy about our stay by the gate.

Report Check-In

We camped outside the gate because there is only tent camping in the park and Boquemonte down the road was closed. The park workers drive back and forth between the two gates until closing time but is was quiet after 6pm. Not super level but we managed.
