Kyrgyzstan
Very beautiful hike from Alplager. It takes about 5 hours one way. There is a waterfall halfway which could be done on a day trip. If you don't want to carry your tent you, can sleep in the dorm for 600 som pppn. If you have your own tent, it is 250 som per tent (for other prices see picture).
There is even a bar where food/drinks are available (at a premium, of course)! Water spring available at the camp. If you prefer to camp on your own there are some handmade flat spots ~30 minutes up in the direction of the Uchitel lake/glacier. Some people do the hike to the hut and back down in one day, you will need to start early and be very fit for that. The way down is slow because of loose gravel.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We walked to the hut in about three hours, and a bit further for views of the glacier.
Full service cafe/bar operating with hot drinks and food
The only real mountain hut in Kyrgyzstan. It used to be the mekka for mountaineers from the Soviet Union. It still is a very popular destination for mountaineers from all over the world. From June-August it can be very crowded.
Report Check-InIt's a nice and easy hike from the parking area to the Rutsek Hut. It's about 1.300 meters up. We needed about 2,5 hours up and 2 hours back down, but we are well trained...
Report Check-InWe hiked to the gletsjer and back to the parking lot. We are not trained, we left at 10.30 and came back at 18.00. Its though but a very beautiful hike, especialy with the indian summer colours right now!!
