Something not right?

Description

This is a dry campground with 8 camping spots for almost any size rig. There are several pull through spots that easily fit a 42' 5th wheel. There is also a boat ramp that provides easy access to the river. You must have the Washington Discovery Pass to stay here. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites are large enough to accommodate several tents and vehicles.

Parked my van at the riverside spot and cooked up some fish over the fire. Quaint little campground, with pit toilets as the only amenity (one roll of toilet paper left ). But it was pretty private and quiet! Free with the Discover Pass.

absolute gorgeous place with a beautiful blue river with a pebble beach. Free with a Discovery Pass! We just had a picknick alongside the river.

Looks to be free with a discover pass! Pit toilets, no trash cans — pack it in, pack it out.

All campsides was full. We stay beside between riversides and the wood.

got a discovery pass and camped here for 3days. we were lucky to get the biggest campsite. great shade, great neighbors and the river is beautiful. good cell service

loved it here and didnt want to leave but we had to continue our roadtrip

Awesome, easy to access campground with pit toilets next to a beautiful river. Last spot was taken around 6:30pm. So get there early if you can.

Report Check-In

We arrived in the mid-afternoon and a couple of sites were available, but after we took one, the other filled pretty quickly. There was also an ADA site available that becomes open to everyone after 6 pm. The odd thing about this campground is that it is first come first serve but there is no fee station and no registration process. It is impossible to know if any site is available without making a tour and looking. If you leave for the day, be sure to leave something clearly marking that it is occupied. We ended up staying three nights, justifying our annual Discovery Pass right there.

This is the most beautiful campsite I've been to in the States so far. There's a pebble beach that you cam probably swim from, a couple of pull-through sites and tent sites with beautiful private beach access. Check the photos attached. 2 bars of T-Mobile signal.

All campsites were full by 5pm but we parked beside the bathroom near the water and had our pass showing with no issues! Water is beautiful. Would’ve stayed longer if we had a proper site but it was great for one night.

Report Check-In

nice enough, rustic. couple of abandoned-looking vehicles otherwise not too busy now in the middle of winter. road was snowy and muddy getting down. far enough off the 101 to minimize highway noise. dunnee looks clean enough and had tp right now. river nearby is very nice. T-Mobile signal is 2 bars and 20Mbps download so ok to work.

Report Check-In

Drove through around 2:30pm. Most campsites were taken & unlevel. Roads look like after a heavy rain it would be muddy. Don't forget your Discover Pass.

Report Check-In

Small campground by the Hoh River. Approximately 8 sites, and there are a couple other unmarked/developed spots that a van or car could park in a pinch. The 8 developed sites have a table and fire rings. We had decent Verizon and T Mobile. Short drive to Olympic NP.

County park, free with Discover Pass. Not many level sites. Camp right on the river. I was the only one there!

Some cool spaces near the river. Really pretty and quiet during the week.

This is a beautiful first come first serve dry camping spot right on the Hoh river. We came at about 9:00am on a Wednesday and found a perfect pull through spot for our 42' 5th wheel. There are a couple other spots that would have fit our rig. Camping is 'free' if you have the Washington Discover Pass and display it in your windshield. A park ranger did come by each day to look at vehicles.

Our site had a picnic table and fire pit. There was plenty of space for two 30' campers as well as a large tent. We had river access, but it was easier to just walk down to the boat ramp. Overall the campground was quiet at night with a moderate amount of traffic during the day. There were also a lot of single night people camping in un-designated spots.

The site is about 10 minutes from Bogachiel State Park and 15 from Forks. There is water and a dump station at Bogachiel. There's also plenty of places to buy firewood along the way to town.

We had really good upload/download speeds with AT&T and Sprint. There was Verizon service, but it wasn't very good for streaming and video calls.

The name is correct, but the description is very incorrect at this campground. This is a primitive campground and to my knowledge is run by the DNR and the USFS. It has 8 first come first serve sites, a pit toilet, a boat ramp, and is free with a discover pass or $10 per day. Couldn’t get in on Feb the 17th due to the turn being covered in deep snow.

Report Check-In

Simple wilderness site. Free. No amenities except pit toilet and picnic tables. No reservations. Right on the Hoh River. Nice but most sites not level. Only 2 sites of about 11 would handle larger RVs. Not suitable for Class A’s.

County park ran by the Chinook Nation. Super friendly, courteous and very helpful with making a reservation. You need to call to do so when the office is open Monday through Thursday. 25 sites, they have 1 huge full hook up and is an easy back in site only. Pull through campground. Rest of the sites are either tent sites or small camper or van, dry camp only. There’s free shower and restroom facilities with water on site. We stayed in site 4 which was a sloped grassy deep site that was 30’ ish foot wide. Picnic table (which was prepared for us with a plastic table cloth when we arrived), fire ring and a garbage can on site and super clean, backed up to the forest. We parked our 21’ trailer at the bottom near the road and we had friends meet us and set up a big tent up top. Very quiet, almost no traffic. There’s also no grocery store or gas station in town so be prepared. Nearest town in South Bend 20 minutes north. Playground was fun for the kids. Beach was more of a mud flat at low tide so not much for play. $20 night/$25 full hook up, $15 for hiker/bikers. Solid 3 bars Verizon LTE

Report Check-In

This campground is not free. You had to pay the pass if Washington states - 10 $ for un vehicle for 1 day or the annual pass for 30 $ - the Rangers Check if you had paid... so it s not FREE...

Report Check-In

Primitive free campground outside of Olympic NP. Right on the Hoh river. Toilet available.
