Description

South side of bridge has informal spots on both sides. Many existing firepits. Great location and Yoder Road (mile marker 3.1) is a pretty quiet road.

Just perfect. All quiet.
„Steep“ down and up no problem with 10mt 4x4 truck.

Keep it clean!

Nice place with many spots if you can get to them. Right by the water.

Amazing! This is your spot!! Went into town, checked out some other spots but decided to go onto Yoder to find this spot. Look no further!!

Steep entry down to the camp spots by the river. Not for big rigs. aI made it down (and back up again) in a 2WD, but most wouldn't be able to get back out. I credit exceptional tires and a running start.

Not accessible in winter, but possible to stay in parking lot on the road

Awesome camping area right by the river

it looked like a fantastic spot until we noticed the smell and found the dogs sniffing around the dead salmon that lined the river. Didn't want to risk them getting fish poisoning and didn't want to deal with the smell either. I'm sure it is great if you get here before the salmon spawn!

Nice place by the river. Plenty of space all around for cars, trucks, large vans etc. I don't think you could get a large class C down here though. One of the previous comments suggested that the path leading from the road to the riverbed was steep and difficult to drive up. We drove down the steep path (following another vehicle) but used a different path to leave that is much easier to drive up and down. It's very close to the bridge itself and on the right hand side (driving in from Talkeetna).

The ATT coverage was very spotty. It worked for a bit then wouldn't work at all. Verizon had no coverage there.

The stream we camped on had LOTS of fish in the water. We saw red King Salmon, silver salmon (I think) and I caught a rainbow trout. You could see probably 20 or so fish if you stood by the riverbank and looked in after the rapids under the bridge. Great fishing spot.

Great spot right by the river! Place that lots of locals go to fish and you may hear construction noise in the morning. Getting down is a bit rough (good for cars and smaller RVs) and no cell signal

Pretty awesome spot. A few guys fishing during the day. Camped right next to the creek on the river-rock banks. Access was a little tricky with our 21ft 2WD Sprinter. Im not sure I would try it with anything much bigger. There is some equipment working on the north side of the bridge, but we heard nothing but the sound of the creek all night.

Nice, quiet spot right next to the creek. The creek was full of huge red salmon when we were there. A lot of fly fishermen, but they were polite and only came in the evenings for a short time. Quiet night’s sleep.

Take Yoder drive to get there. Camping spot at the starting for one or two camper van. Lot of tent place each side of the bridge. Many big salmon in the river wow! But Big work with machineries right in the river when we camp!

Nice location on a gravel bar beside the Montana River. The entry down to it off the road could be tricky for large rigs and might require 4WD to get back out. Saw lots of moose droppings but no moose.

There is a trailhead right across the bridge but we didn't try it out.

What a nice and interesting place! We escaped the crowds at Sustina River Banks and found the "Paradise" here! - Thanks!

Beautiful bank to camp on. Saw king salmon swimming up stream.
