As far as I can tell this place has been bulldozed by pipeline construction.
Report Check-InThere is currently no signage on the highway for this rest area. I think it’s due to the pipeline construction going on in the immediate area. There is a fence that sets off the construction area so there is no problem getting to and using the rest area. But, I think as a result of no signage on the highway, I had to place all to myself. I was worried that construction would start early in the morning but so far I’ve only seen one security guy and that was last night. He was over by the fence for about 15 minutes and left. It’s currently 6 AM and no sign of any activity at the construction area. Such a great place to stay!
Report Check-InMulti-parking areas, all fairly level, some in the sun, some in the shade. Two pit toilets. Green area to exercise dogs (not fenced). Very few mosquitoes. Pipe line work crew seem to use the area during the day. 10 vehicles stayed overnight. Highly recommend. Rushing waters of the river lull you to sleep.
Report Check-Inone of the best rest area. we don't usually overnight in rest area but this one was perfect! level spots, toilets if needed and beautiful sandy beach to the flowing clear turquoise river, just off the hwy 1h to valemont.
Report Check-Ingreat rest stop with toilet and tables. large and frequented by overnighters
Report Check-InRest area. Hidden from the road by the trees. You can still hear the highway but it is mostly covered by the river noise. A sign says stay is limited to 8h. I arrived around 7pm and left at 8am. No problem. 2 other RVs that night.
Report Check-InAs advertised nice easy spot to stay a night in .raining so no bugs and so far no bears except up the road about 10 miles nice to be off the hwy
Report Check-InDefinitely one of the nicer rest areas. More like a primitive campground. Be aware of mosquitos and bears.
