Pleasant and very quiet location. The track has been resurfaced and today any type of vehicle can come here. Possibility of making a fire and swimming in the lake. This place is not level but with some stones it is ok. View from the sky with a drone is wonderful!

Great spot to escape the loud and hectic village. Super quiet, directly next to the lake. 4x4 is not needed at all. It’s a well maintained gravel road.

we stay four nigths, the place is very very quiet and safe. nobody come here. the route is ripio but its ok. we have a van convencional. you can stay close to the lake. its the Best spot in Colombia. its free. the water off the lake is very clean, you can swimming and fish.

estuvimos 4 noches, el lugar es super tranquilo y seguro. no va nadie. la ruta es de ripio pero esta muy buena, nosotros tenemos una van convencional y no tuvimos problemas. se puede parquear muy cerca del lago. es el mejor spot en colombia. es gratis. el agua del lago es muy limpia y se puede nadar y pescar.

Just the quietest and most peaceful spot to spend the night at. Reachable by any car when we were here. Direct view and access to the lake where you can bathe. Also, great birdwatching spot with several endemic Andean birds and nice native vegetation. We spent two nights here and only two people came to check the area out during that time. we were mostly by ourselves. Not sure how safe it is because there is really nothing around except a finca with closed gates.

Wonderful Spot, a bit bumpy, we didn't engage 4x4, a Toyota Tercel with locals came in the evening to sit by the lake and chat. It's got some ruts and bumps to navigate around, but just drive around or strattle them, doable in nearly anything.

Still a good spot, but better to stay somewhere along this little road (pull-outs enough, with nice views over the lake) instead of going all the way down. We spent the first night all the way down, but had a lot of rain during the night and had to rebuild the track before being able to drive back up with our Land Cruiser (as the road turned into a river and got washed away). Also, we were not really at ease camping next to a mud slide in hard rain. The second night we slept higher up, and had a great and quiet night (only one person passed by the entire time we were there).

Cannot park directly on the lake anymore as the last few meters are obstructed by a landslide. But you can walk the rest. Very secluded, no one around. At least high clearance needed, if not also 4x4.

Water levels higher when we visited (July), just enough space for our moto and tent (or one 4x4), but what a beautiful spot!! Road still v bad for last 100m but well worth it! Peaceful night. No one around but birdlife. We had a lovely swim and beyond the headland you can see the big rock!

We stayed 2 nights here and really enjoyed the place! You can make campfire, fishing and enjoy nature sounds. A boat from the water plant came to check about us and said it was ok to be there. Another visitor were two guys that works in the building of the road next to there that came to clean their motorcycles. No one else. Water doesn't seems for us nice for swimming, so we didnt it. Also carefull about the rain and water level, we were in dry season.

Hermoso lugar en el medio de la naturaleza y alejado del mundo!

El camino esta horrible, la lluvia deformó el camino de tierra y se formaron unos agujeros tremendos. Nosotros vamos con una toyota tundra 4x4 y un camper y nos mandamos pero antes nos fijamos como hacer para bajar. Hay un camino, pero hay que hacerlo lento y con alguien indicando.
Nosotros estuvimos 5 noches solos y hasta salimos a hacer compras y volvimos otras 4 noches más porque el lugar es hermoso!

En el agua nos bañamos y lavamos, durante el día hace calor y también podes nadar re tranquilo, no hay ningún animal porque es un embalse/represa.

El fin de semana llegaron las primeras personas en moto a pescar o algunas que se fueron al minuto.

Fueron unos días hermosos para conectar con la naturaleza y el viaje.

Recuerden que el camino esta pésimo, si tienen un auto bajo sin 4x4 ni se gasten!

Beautiful and quit place, with very clear water. The frogs are pretty noisy during the night though.
We went there with our 2WD VW T4 (Eurovan) - it‘s possible but the track is really rough. I woudn‘t recommend it with a 2WD.

Nice place to chill right on the lake. No one around and really quiet. Access on the shore is in very bad shape and 4x4 is needed. But 250 meters before this point there is some place to park for all type of vehicle. Becareful, choose carefully your place and avoid the grass, it’s too soft and big risk to get stuck. Enjoy the nice nature around.

Beautiful private spot! Good for swimming. We don’t have 4x4 but we were able to make it in a Ford E-350. If you have good bottom clearance you can make it. It’s only the last 70m that have big holes.

Nice remote place at the end of the road. Direct at the lake. Space for 1car. Pure nature. 4x4 required to access.
