"Having just arrived at this national Park (1730 on 29 Apr 19) I have been told by one of the Rangers that due to a lack of rainfall in the sector they have closed the campsite indefinitely. Not sure (due to language barrier) if he means indefinitely or just for a while? "
This is a great campsite at the northern side of Parque Nacional La Campana. There are hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. It cost 2,500P/person to enter the park and camping was 6,000P/night in addition. Each site has a table and BBQ area (not allowed to use anymore - October 2018), plenty of room for parking your rig or setting up a tent.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
this day it closes at midday !! so we've decided to not enter
others day it closes at 5
from 9 (or 9.30) it's not too long for trekking and discovering the area
Very simple but nice camping. Old facilities (showers/toilets), cold water only. $6,000 (2 pax, 1 tent). Not allowed to use BBQ, stoves only! No WiFi, but 4G on local Entel and Movistar carriers.
Report Check-InNo overnighting for the moment because of water shortage, must leave at 5 PM.
Report Check-InGreat campsite. First spots are flat. Payed 4000pp for entry and 6000 for camping. Quiet area. Nice trails (1 hour to 6 hours). Every night after the first night you only pay camping fee. Water is cold but great in summer time.
Report Check-InPlace is open. Price was $6000.- per day. You have to arrive before 17:00, otherwise no entrance. Great hiking!
Report Check-InPlace is closed due to a lack of water and fireprotection. Don't wether they will open it again. Doesn't seem so.
Report Check-InCamping currently closed ostensibly due to fire hazard. Nearby private campground open.
Report Check-InCampspots nr 1 and 2 are best suitable for big rigs, here there is a lot of space to park your car, it's quite easy to level your vehicle. If you drive around the campground further, it gets bumpier and there are some lower trees/branches. We were here in high season, but only 2 other families were camping here, so don't worry about lack of space.
Report Check-InGood outdoor experience. Nice campsites, well separated. Hiking trails nearby. No other visitors on a weekday in May.
Report Check-InGate closes at 5pm, but check it because it's probably is just pulled to. We got in at 7pm and had to remove the 'lock'. We also got in free with our CONAF passes and didn't pay for camping for 2 nights because they had all gone home. The hikes to the waterfall is great.
Report Check-InThis is a great campsite at the northern side of Parque Nacional La Campana. There are hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. It cost 2,500P/person to enter the park and camping was 6,000P/night but we stayed two nights and they did not make us pay for second night. Each site has a table and BBQ area, plenty of room for parking your rig or setting up a tent. They say no dogs but we saw locals with dogs camping. Lots of great spots for bikers and tent campers.
Report Check-In- 6000 CLP per vehicle (up to 6 people) + entrance to the park (2500 CLP per person for foreigners, free with the CONAF annual pass)
- very nice campground, we had it for ourselves in June (weekdays)
- clean flushing toilets and (VERY) cold showers, some shade, seating and we saw a grill in a pretty bad shape
- no power, there was one power plug in the bathrooms, but it didn't look like there was power at all (we didn't try)
- lots of birds and other animals
