Walmart that allows a Max 24 HR parking.
Very quiet place for the night, shop closed at 11pm. Not far away (aprox 3 km) to the ferry terminal. Best to be gone by 9am.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As mentioned by others, signs have been put up but likely aren’t being enforced. Stayed two nights at the back of the lot without issue. Relatively quiet except some cars going by. Couple other RVs and campers stayed as well.
Report Check-Inspend 1 night. nobody bothered us. quiet night. the only con was bright parking lights all over. I had no window shades. we had a good night sleep in a car.
Report Check-InNo overnight signs everywhere
Max 3 hour customer parking
Another great spot ruined by people that over stay their welcome.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Spent a very quiet night with 4+ other campers on a Tuesday. Spoke to a Walmart employee first regarding the the signs, turns out the mall installed them and they are not enforced, Walmart is happy to have overnighters. 24 hrs max but if you are staying the night make sure you are gone by 9am.
Report Check-Instayed here 2 nights on our road trip. we set up to back side of the lot facing the field across the road. the first night there were a few campers and a bus. it's quite past 8pm and had no issues with security. would stay again
Report Check-In10 RVs gone by morning opening, quiet, if you stay by the grass patch, beware of sprinklers
Report Check-Instay one night after the ferry. No Problem. good sleep. 8-10 rvs stayed this night here
Report Check-InI stayed there overnight this week and had no issue. left at 6h30AM without being woken up or asked to move. it's really a hit and miss these days with the spot but anytime I went I had no issue!
Report Check-InSpent another night here after a late ferry, was not bothered despite the signs and there was still a few other campers with us
Report Check-InWanted to spend a night here. Unfortunately, it is recently forbidden to stay overnight here. See photo!
Report Check-InStayed overnight here with about a dozen other campers for 3 consecutive nights, left during the day and came back at night and was never bothered
Report Check-InStayed for the night before an early ferry ride. Great stop and made it easy to get to the ferry at 5am.
Report Check-Inquiet sleep, wifi reached our camper. lots of other RVers there. thank you walmart
Report Check-InNice big parking lot, pretty quiet at night and felt very safe. Tim Hortons, A&W, and lots of other places to eat within a few minutes walk. Seems to be a popular spot there were about 10-15 RVs / campers when I stayed.
Report Check-InWe stayed more or less 5 Weeks. We leaf during the Day and spend the nights there. Super quiet. And you are never alone. There are Always RV, Campers, etc.
But there is No WiFi in the parking lot.
We stood here for 3 days. Every now and then other RV were here. Quiet area. No controls. Clean parking lot.
The closer you stood to the Walmart, there was the option for Wifi.
Restrooms inside the Walmart. Clean and adequate. No showers.
Spent the night and it was relatively quiet. Signs say parking is allowed for 24hours max. There were 4 or 5 other campers.
It appears that they do somewhat enforce 24hour rule. Some vehicles had a sign taped to the door, saying they would be towed, if not moved by the 3rd at 11am.
Report Check-InNuit au Walmart très calme. Nous nous sommes mis au fond du parking près des lampadaires avec noté "max 24hr"
Report Check-InWe arrived in the early afternoon; there were already a few RVs parked here. We set up right below a sign that says 24H Max Parking.
Report Check-InArrived and checked with the management on duty, got the info it is alright to stay overnight. Two remarks given: Keep the place clean and no liability on Walmart's side for whatever might occur (my guess: potential break in, damaged car, usual parking lot stuff).
There are easy 10+ campers in the parking lot this night. Keep it clean, be mindful - it might stay open...
max 24hr parking signs. lots of tv's. nice and quiet, close to ferry.
Report Check-InOvernight camping (just one night) is still possible. We asked an employee of Walmart and he said we are more than welcome.
There were about 5-6 other vans/motorhomes.
Report Check-InOvernight parking no longer allowed, signs posted around parking lot. Was asked to leave by management of be towed.
Report Check-InSadly, an off duty police officer got shot and lost his life here. Because of this, the overgrown popularity of this spot, people running their genns all hours of the night and some people trying to move in permanently, Walmart notified me I was allowed the night, but they would soon be taking a harder stance on overnight parking.
Doubtful it will be open for overnight 2022 camp season. To bad as it was a great place to rest before an early ferry.
Stayed here in a pinch as we needed to catch the first ferry out in the morning. Arrived late at night - there were 3 other overnighter dispersed around. Free stay, lots of space, well-lit and short drive to/from ferry terminal. Did the job for one night.
Report Check-InSO many RV’s… at least a dozen had to park over in the mall lot because there were so many in this lot. Symphony of generators!!!!! Ya’ll need to invest in some solar panels & lithium batteries, eh?!
Report Check-InLike anyone else said, nice and big parking lot, quiet and safe, we got here around 9pm , 4 RVs here, still few restaurants are open! Next to the outlet mall !! Thank you for a FREE safe night camping!!
Report Check-InMany many RVs here! We stayed here after a late ferry back from the Island, very convenient location for that.
Report Check-InSecond night here.
Weekend turned Walmart parking lot into Walmart campground
Campground turned Walmart into Warm-mart
Thank you again Warmmart!
stayed here two consecutive nights (left during the day), and wasn't bothered by security. there were several other campers/rvs. there isn't much shade, but the farthest corner from the entrance seemed like the best spot.
Report Check-InGood for a quick over night stop before taking the early ferry. Plenty of others parked there. Park on right side of lot when facing the Walmart. No bathrooms around after Walmart closes.
Report Check-Ingood for a quick stop after a late ferry arrival. think we shared with approx 10-15 others last night
Report Check-InStayed here after a ferry trip from Victoria. A few camper (about 10) where aslo here. Walmart was open late and the place was clean. Only downside, the lights in the parking where agressive.
Report Check-Init's a long weekend and it seems like there will be 15 sets of people sleeping here.
Walmart open till 11 pm. lots of drive thru food nearby. I got Shaw open internet.
good place for a pre or post ferry stop.
Nice quiet night at the Walmart parking lot. Use the right side ( if looking at the Walmart) to park as even during busy times at the store, this parking lot is virtually empty. Easy not to long term here. When you get up in the morning, head down to Tawwassen Beach. 5 min drive. Beautiful view and free parking to slowly take your time getting ready in the morning.
Report Check-InSo many RVs here!
It was nice to be around all the restaurants and Canadian tire.
Classic Walmart parking where you can stay overnight. Good place, clean and quiet.
Report Check-InTypical Walmart parking. Camped in the smaller of the two lots with lots of other RVs and vans. The mall is right across the street and there are lots of shops nearby.
Report Check-InHello
Really quiet night after 11.00PM.
In the evening a friendly guard say that we can stay here but only for one night.
I said that I understand, It's not a RV park.
The Walmart is clean with friendly crew.
Thank to Walmart for this place .
Slept here after arriving from the island at night. A lot of other campers. All clean and nice!
Report Check-InYour usual Walmart camping. Very quiet neighborhood though. Quite a few other RVs and Vans.
Report Check-InQuiet place. We’ve stayed here several times before and after our Westy was getting work done at Werke1 in Richmond.
Report Check-InArrived around 9pm, an RV was near front of parking lot near road, and a van RV near rear of parking lot. Stayed with no issues. Got up around 6:30am and 2 or 3 large RVs had arrived near other one, near road. Quiet night.
Report Check-InClean, safe and after 12 pm really quiet for a place like this. Slept there for one night without any problems.
Report Check-InIt’s a Walmart parking lot so not very fancy but you have the mountains surrounding and it’s free ! Slept here 3 nights while visiting Vancouver and before taking the ferry from Tsawwassen to Victoria, didn’t have any trouble and felt safe!
Report Check-InNew Walmart opened in Summer 2017.
Verry quite place for the night, shop closed at 11pm. Not far away (aprox. 3 km) to the ferry terminal
