Latest Check-Ins

In 2019 and this time we stayed about 1km north-east of this point at the end of the other sand path 46.72608° N, 50.16730° E.
This time, military vehicule went by us without stopping, but stopped around the coordinates given for this spot. Maybe better to stay at out out spot.

Report Check-In

A nice spot, no one came around while I was here. The sea was ca. 4km away from this spot. I drove to it, but ended up staying here. And the village is also not too far and has a small supermarket.
The way to here is slightly sandy, so it's a bit harder for bicycles to reach the place.

Report Check-In

Unfortunaly military people come in the morning and said it was a border area. They are friendly anyway

Report Check-In

We arrived in the evening but unfortunately: There is no lake anymore. It is a environmental desaster. The lake is hundreds of meters away from the dunes. We moved on to another place to stay.

Report Check-In

We arrived in the evening and still found a good spot. In the morning we got greeted by two camels at our tent :)

Report Check-In

Lots of flat space to pitch a tent. Had one local person drive by in the evening, but they didn’t say anything. There’s a small supermarket in town. Lots of mosquitoes around in the evening this time of year. FYI, the first 75km from the border are paved now (amazing!) and more is being paved at the moment. The rest of the road is still awful though.

Report Check-In

Camping on a vast expanse of beach. Camels, cows and birds as your guests. A few fishermen who paid no attention to us. Visits from the border security just to check us out , all with smiles and thanks. As far as insects go, very few until the second morning and the night had been damp and there were lots. Just as a side note, the E40 road is in a shockingly bad state, average speed for the whole 280Kms was 40kmh. This camp spot was a very welcome break for two nights.

Report Check-In

Beautiful, a few camels around and no Moskitos. But the water is a few hundred meters away.

Report Check-In

Nice spot. Lots of space. Easy access from the main road from GPS point 46.75644N, 50.13121E. One of the few place long the coast where you can find a beach. Lots of bugs when the wind stops but they don’t bite 😜.

... plus I woke up surrounded by one billion mosquitos.. millions of them are now in the car.. awful place. I won't recommand!!

Report Check-In

Many drunk people around there. I have been agressed by one of them. They came back at 3 am with their car shouting around me.

Spent the night here ; a young guy came around on his motorbike to check out mine. All friendly. Woke up from two calves at my feet in the morning - big questioning eyes, great picture!
Lots of wind, little shelter. Bright night full of stars!

Report Check-In

All went good. Talked with some fishermen and the got a spot out of sight in the dunes. A bit windy but overall great.
We were with a tent and 2 motorbikes.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet! Police came by after sunset they were very friendly And no problem to stay here! Most empty beach I saw in my life ;)

Report Check-In

Great. Peaceful. No problems with locals, apart from the occasional camel. Head round the east side of the town and you will find the trail to the beach.

Report Check-In

beautiful spot! but there were many curious people around our car. the one seemed pretty nervous and asked weird questions. so we left after feeling unsecure.
