Description

Free disperse campsite between Landslide and Tenmile campgrounds. Very nice with lots of trees and shade. There is a lot of space. Peaceful and quiet.
Main camp area can be noisy and crowded. The lower section to the right down the small dirt road has several secluded sites away from the crowded section.

we loved this spot. we slept here for 2 nights.

Great spot, the neighbors weren't too noisy. Get a fire permit if you are going to do a fire or cook outdoors, it's free at the visitor center.

the dispersed camping info you get at the visitor centers asks you to make it better than when you got there. this places needs our help, it is pretty trashy.

No signal for T-Mobile or Verizon.

this was an established campsite with many different sites. it's dispersed camping, so no toilets or anything. there are recycling bins next to the sign at the entrance. free fire permit required. pack in pack out. lots of trees and wildlife. deer were unbothered by us. it was peaceful and quiet even though there were other ppl. we didn't even hear them. each site had a fire pit and logs to sit on. plenty of level options. lots of trees!

Very nice place, still open and free. Quiet and remote in this time of the year. Nobody around. Garbage bins and nothing more.

Just drove by this and it’s roped off. Not sure if it’s just because it’s winter kind of or it’s closed forever.

Report Check-In

Way crowded with many campsites playing loud music. There were no porta potties. However if you go to the right and follow the narrow dirt road there are several secluded smaller sites far enough away from the other sites. I would definitely stay in those other sites but not the main camp area. 2wd with decent ground clearance is a must for the lower section. No Cell service, bring lots of water, no fires at this time.

Report Check-In

Plenty of spots for any rig! Nice dispersed camping spot. Fire rings available but we can’t have fires this year in this area. Some trash on the ground but not the worst I’ve ever seen. There are Porto-potties that are very clean and a couple trash cans. Pack it in/pack it out!

Great spot. Lots of room. Make sure you get your fire permit even for your colman gas stoves. Perfect location, halfway between kings canyon and the giant forest. Only a few minutes from Hume lake too!

Report Check-In

Lots of space, quite and safe. To pittoilets but its winter-season (end October)
