Free camping on BLM land. Close to the road, so you can hear the traffic but it's more or less quiet during night.

We stopped at a pull off with a picnic table and a fire ring. A little walking trail goes out both ways from the spot and there are several entrances to the river. There are not any trashcans.
Report Check-InNot a bad spot if you follow the road as far back as you can go you will be rewarded with a nice little spot. We found all the other spots too close to the highway. The secret is out so get here early to claim a free night.
Report Check-InHandy pullout with picnic tables and fire rings downstream. There are multiple sites along this canyon that follows beside Cochetopa Creek. These sites are rarely used.
