Glorious camp amongst Eucalyptus trees. Plenty of spots for vehicles (big rig access may be problematic*) and tents, about 300m off main road. Hidden from view and quiet. Difficult to get down to river, which wasn't clean anyway in September. Map marker is access point off Route 3S.
Cyclists and hikers turn at yellow bag tied to tree and you'll find a track leading to lower terrace.
* Bigger vehicles approaching from north (Urcos) may need to drive past to suitable turning point in Quiquijana and then backtrack. Gap in barrier rails 3m wide, followed by sharp turn.

Very nice spot! Amazing sky full of stars, very quiet, with some passing vehicles in the background. If coming from Cuzco I'd recommend to U-turn for any type of rig, very sharp turn, especially when there's cars behind you, no space to manoeuvre. Enjoy!
Report Check-InIndeed a very nice place for camping. As cyclists we didn’t found the yellow bag (think it was just gone) but we found the entrance to the lower terrace, out of the wind.
The river with the railroad on the other side of the river makes it a idyllic spot. Millions of stars at night.
Nice spot, hiding from the road, and not so noisy.
The river is not accessible.
Good wild camp !
2 cyclists: very nice flat spot, hidden from the road and good wind protection. we saw the yellow bag on the tree and found the lower area to pitch the tent. Great find, thanks overlanders!
Report Check-InNice spot between trees. Some locals passed with their motorbikes. All friendly.
