A community run campsite around a giant hollow baobab tree which has seen use as a prison, bar, post office and museum over the decades. Very friendly caretaker, wall around the place so not close to nature. Good place for a stopover though.

Campsite and baobab are open! The campsite is around the tree and very well maintained. Ablutions looked good. 100,-pppn, to visit the baobab, which is huge sind hollow you pay 20,-pp. Worth going there. All the shops can be reached easily on foot from here. A covered market with food stalls and tables is next to the campsite.

Still closed. No access and no camping possible. Pleasant guest house next door 450 N$ for a double room. Phantastic pizza 130-150 N$ - just be patient as preparation takes 60 minutes. Recommended open market next door.

As described. Friendly and informative caretaker. We passed a nice night alone next to the 750-year old bobab tree. Fee is 80pp with electricity and water. We paid 50pp since water was off.

Good place to stay one night. Perfect ablutions and amenities for camping. Clean and quiet. Price is on the door entrance and you should call the caretaker who lives near there.
