Something not right?

Description

Exit 234 from I-40. At the east side you'll find the paved parking. On the west side this gravel spot. More secluded with a nice view. We enjoyed a peaceful night. Free. Easy access for all rigs. Because it's close to the freeway, there is traffic noise, but it was bearable. We didn't explore the Ranches Services.

Big lot off the highway. Lots of trucks and a couple campers. Highway noise but to be expected. Gas/diesel, convenience store and a DQ in same lot.

great place to stay
gravel lot semis on location

Report Check-In

Gas, souvenirs, clean bathrooms, Dairy Queen attached. Big rigs in lot-maybe ok to stay overnight

Report Check-In

Just as described, however it is louder than anticipated. There's some highway noise however, the truck next to us has been idling for hours and these big rigs are loud. It's nice and dark though so no light shinning in. Overall, nothing to write home about, just a place to rest your weary head for the evening.

Stayed one night and had a good night’s rest. I had pulled into the rest area about 15 miles before this place going westbound but the rest stop is very noisy and a lot of cars and trucks coming and going so I’m glad that I drove another 15 miles for this spot. I parked by the trees in the back of the lot.

We had a good sleep on concrete pad on west side. Felt safe behind huge trucks. Traffic noise was tolerable. Filled tank and tummies with breakfast and bought souvenirs in their awesome store

Report Check-In

We stayed on the little concrete pad. Quiet night. Much better than rest stop or other at the Ranch with trucks and lights. Our dog and toddler had room to play.

nice little hidden gravel patch. some road noise. nearby to 24 hour services.
