Follow National Forest development road 55 for 3,3 miles, than turn left into a gravel road. After 0,5 miles comes a pullout on the left underneath trees. It's nothing special but a quiet place for a night and it's a little bigger than just a usual pullout.

Gorgeous spot on ridge with amazing light filtering through in the morning and evening, tons of trees, and fire pit, and handmade table.
Report Check-InI tried to check this spot out after the NF55 extension didn't work out for two truck campers (not enough room to get 2 level), but the road up here was too overgrown (July 2022) with a 10' truck camper on a dually truck. Even just going up the road there were quite a few lower branches we went through with the TC's. This spot might be best for a van or car at the largest.
If you are coming up here to check out these spots, the turnoff for this does give you a lot of room turn around. I didn't venture past this point on either road.
Report Check-InThe pull outs on NF 55 were all full when we rolled through. Tried this road and ended up at this spot. Road is no longer over grown as per post from 2018.
Pull out isn't too level. Was able to get pretty close. Could fit two vehicles, but the second one has no chance of being level. Where this spot shines is in the tent camping. There is are a few flat tent spots and a built fire pit with a small grate. A little bit of trash around, but otherwise clean and quiet.
A few vehicles drove down the road and then back up, so I doubt there's much more down the hill past this spot.
Report Check-InNot very flat. Even with our trusty blocks we couldn't get the van close to level. The road in is also quite overgrown. Wouldn't bother.
