Still open and free. Great little walk breaking up the slow drive in the canyon.

we arrived on a monday shortly before 2.30 pm. the gate was closed but not locked. inside people were working restouring some walls. we were asked to park outside, but they allowed us to explore on our own for 1 hour, although they just finished their workday. someone waited for us to lock the gate. next day they expected a guide to be here. place is huge. worth a stop. still free.
