Very beautiful valley, the drive out is quite an adventure! Wonderful facilities: cute quincho, cosy kitchen with wood burning stove and lots of firewood. Only faff is having to heat your own water for shower. Grassy camping. Welcoming family and throughly enjoyed our horse ride with them (40,000) to great views of Baker River rapids and spectacular Paso Don Carlos cliff face pass. A great place to chill for a few days away from it all! Camping 7000.

Report Check-In

One of our highlights of our trip! Beautiful camping with a friendly owner who speaks English, German and Spanish. First day it was raining so we used the home made SAUNA! Second day we had an amazing time going horseback riding with the daughter of the owner through the valley. Beautiful camping with a cozy common area, woodfired stove, clean bathrooms and a lot of space! Definitely coming back here.

Report Check-In

A truly beautiful location. Great care has gone into every aspect of the site. No one was here when I arrived, just a donation box to pay (6k camping, 12k refugio beds). Clean toilets and showers (cold). Water can be heated on fire if needed. Equipped kitchen and stove. Firewood and covered seating area and fire pit. Hiking trails nearby. No wifi, no mobile signal. Peaceful. As mentioned, bridge access for smaller vehicles only. Site is 3.5k past the bridge.

Report Check-In

wow, such a picture perfect spot! we loved our stay here and really enjoyed the scenic drive over the bridge! great clean facilities with lots of firework for stove to heat us up and cook on. lovely host!

AMAZING! What an awesome place to get off the “busy”carretera austral and into the wild for a bit. The scenery is simply stunning, this place puts a lot of postcard perfect pictures to shame. Lili is great, the hikes are great, the facilities are great (wood stove, warm Refugio, nice sinks for doing dishes…) I highly recommend assuming your vehicle can get though the 6T narrow bridge.
Perfect for cyclists, backpackers and moto campers. Pickups and anything with standard pickup width will fit, but yeah, it’s a narrow bridge!

Report Check-In

Great place!
We stayed here 3 days as volonteers, waiting for the ferry to O'higgins. The place is awesome in the middle of glaciers.
Incredible experience, helping and staying at Lili's place was a pleasure. A immersion in Patagonian way of life.
I recommend +++

Report Check-In

Amazing campingplace to stay, the best we had on Carretera Austral! Grassy place with 2 common rooms, one more open with a firepit and a real kitchen with a wood-fueled cooking place. Firewood included. Bathrooms are super clean and the whole place is in a very good shape. Good walks in the area and a amazing view on the 3 mountains covering the valley.
Payed 6000 p/P for sleeping in the van, there is also an option so sleep in bedrooms for 12 p/P.
When driving there you have to open some animal stopping gates and drive over a 8T bridge, wide enough for our campervan but maybe a little narrow for super big rigs.
Highly recommend this place!

This season we also receive VOLUNTEERS !

Report Check-In

Nice camp spot and lily has nice veggies for sale. Sad but she didnt mention they had a water situation till we paid up and set u camp. The water from all taps had drip drip kind of pressure, we couldn’t use the normal shower and had to make a bucket one. The kitchen operates by wood fire and to have a hot shower it takes 4-6 hours to make due to very low water pressure and wood fire.

Report Check-In

Beautifully nested between the Rio Baker and mountains with glaciers. Very quiet. Nice kitchen with wood stove. Cabin free of use for parilla in the rear camping area. Hot showers.
Lily is very nice, welcoming, helpful.
She sells fresh veggies, bread, homemade jams.

Horseriding to the Corte San Carlos was great, would definitely recommend !

Report Check-In

It is absolutely worth the detour of 10,5 km from Ruta 7. For cyclists 8 km. Price is still only 5000 pp. Very nice warm kitchen / relax area.
Cars have to cross a long suspension bridge of 2.3 m wide, max 6 ton. An adventure on itself.
And the views are heartbreaking.

Report Check-In

It was great. Fantastic locations, great spot, Lily very nice the owner. Very recommended. Hot water and electricity plus nice kitchen. Beautiful. Thanks.

Report Check-In

I spent 4 nights at this beautiful place. The scenery is incredible, all the facilities are clean , the showers hot, you can buy home made bread and other useful items from Lilly . Ask if they will make a lamb asado for you. It is *****. Prices are very moderate, camping only 5000.
Highly recommended.

Report Check-In

Facilities are in good shape. Great hot showers. Indoor kitchen, very warm in cold days and a good place to stay dry when it rains. Walking distance to the confluence. Glaciers visible from the camp site. Worth the detour. They also rent bedrooms.

Report Check-In

Great hidden gem off the Car. Austral! Nice campground with a good kitchen, a common area with a nice fireplace with free wood. All very clean. there is hiking in the area and they offer trail rides. We found this to be one of our favourite campsites of the trip. Nixe family. Easy drive in but there is a width restriction on the bridge.(see comments below) Max weight is 6000 kg.

Report Check-In

Lily wasn't here for our stay (so no bread or trail rides), but we had a wonderful time anyway! The refugio/kitchen area was so cozy on a rainy day, and there was plenty of firewood to keep the little stove running. It doesn't take much to heat up the whole space. I was able to bake cookies in there too! Showers piping hot as everyone says. We loved it here and would absolutely come back.

Report Check-In

Great place. Not to miss on the caretera austral. Great mountainviews, lovely host and fair prices.
We loved the kitchen, the hot showers, the walk to the salto baker, swimming, the calafatejam, the fresh bread and the vegetables from the garden. Recommended!

Report Check-In

We really enjoyed our stay and recommend to go for a horseback riding daytrip. It is quite an adventure when the water in the creek is high but with Lilly you are in safe hands, even if you have no experiences with horses at all. Do try the delicious bread that Lilly bakes everyday and ask for some fresh vegetables from her garden. Besides the beautiful ranch and surroundings it is the hospitality of Lilly and her family that will make you smile.

Report Check-In

Absolutely beautiful. We stayed longer than we had planned. The limiting factor is the bridge. We measured it. No height restrictions, width 2.30m at the narrowest point, 6t stated weight limit.

Report Check-In

5000 pesos pp. Super nice place and so well maintained. The owners do a great job. We made up a fire in the firehouse and could grill our fresh trout. Some wind protection behind trees and buildings.

Report Check-In

Such a wonderfull stay at Lily's home ! Everything was perfect : place in the middle of mountains with glacier and river, lily and her family are really friendly, each little thing in the camping is well thought (déco, general atmosphere), bread and jams are so tasty and cabalgatas unforgotable (amazing views, lovely horses, always secured). We spent 2 night because we didn't want to leave anymore! Thanks a lot for this moment.

Report Check-In

very nice campsite in a beautiful landscape as described before with very friendly owners. best refugee seen so far with super bathrooms (but only 2 for everybody). Big rigs cannot pass the bridge to access the farm. we stayed 3 nights. good spot to go and come back in the day to Caleta tortel. 5000 ppn. our little ones did not pay.

Report Check-In

Great Camping at a big farm estate. Hot showers, refugio and shed with big fire place. Nice walks. Unfortunately the lady of the farm was to town, so the tourist service was limited. In december the season starts and service will be complete. Shop, horseriding, guided tours.

Report Check-In

Lot's of closed gates on the way in off the 7 but they were open! Cherry jam is very tasty, no wifi or electricity but it's an awesome place to disconnect for a bit. Cyclists and backpackers can turn right at the sign for the last 1.5km - tho it's a bit muddy after rain. Owner speaks Spanish, German, and pretty good English too.

Report Check-In

It's worth to visit these wonderful place. We climbed up to half-high of the Cordón los Ñadis. The view to Baker valley is very impressive. If the weather would be better, we'd like to stay around longer.

Report Check-In

Very nice, clean and well organized place. They also have dorms for 8000 chp pperson.
Very good whole grain bread.

Report Check-In

RECOMMENDED ! Amazing campground with everything that you need and so nice ! Stunning view! Very clean! Top horse riding ! Hosts really helpful ... possibility to buy homemade marmalade ... hot shower full kitchen équiped - the 10 km detour is really worth it

Report Check-In

great place to rest in a relaxed atmosphere, run by a kind family

Report Check-In

Amazing spot. Still 4000 per person.

Report Check-In

We heard about this camping ground from other cyclists we met as we cycled north from Villa O'Higgins. They highly recommend visiting it despite the 10km detour off the Austral. Was definitely worth the effort as a really beautiful spot. Very good facilities although on our visit there was issues with the water supply to the refugio (both hot & cold), not ideal when you've been cycling all day and want to cook and shower! However, owner got it working in the end. Very useful having a small 'kiosco' from which we could buy a few essentials for dinner as our supplies were running low. We were charged 4,000 pesos per person to camp which given the standard of facilities available is good. No wi-fi

Report Check-In

Great camping area with friendly hosts (try their home made sour cherry jam) fogon with wood stove and comfy seating area, lots of pre chopped wood and clean bathrooms with hot showers. Best camping so far in south america!

Report Check-In

My 97 ford 250 with Pop up squeezed through the bridge to his beautiful campground. The river with fish was low in the summer so we tried to fish Baker river 10 min hike away to no avail.

Report Check-In

A lovely retreat on the Carretera. 10km from the main road via a beautiful country lane which passes through a few properties. The bridge 3.5km before is quite narrow - vehicles with slide-on campers fit (there was one here when we arrived) but it would have been super tight. Well worth the effort - the facilities are wonderful. Beautiful kitchen in the Refugio and the second building is great for hanging out around the fire. 4000 pp to camp in our 4runner. Very pretty (short) walk to the river with views of glaciers, mountains and the river. One of our fave stops on the trip.

Report Check-In

We stayed at this amazing place for 4 nights and celebrated christmas there. The sourounding is awsome and the host are very nice and helpful. We went several times in Lilis garden to buy for little money fresh vegies. And she made fresh bread. The refugio was until now the nicest one in chile. It's possible to use the fully equiped and very clean kitchen. The bath is also clean and has a really hot shower.
You can do a day tour by horse to the spectacular places for 25000 Clp.
To cross the bridge, it's up to 6 tons, but the owner cross it by a little track, which has got more weight on. If you don't stop there, you'll miss a lot.

Report Check-In

4,000 per person per night. They also have bunk beds (4 beds total) for 8,000. Great stocked kitchen with wood stove for cooking. Lots of wood. Excellent and beautiful place. Note. From the GPS coordinates which is the gate to the house you turn left (west) to the camping area and will need to open one more gate.

Report Check-In

Lovely spot. Paid 4000/person. There are a few gates you have to drive through to get to the property and a narrow suspension bridge (6 ton limit, we barely fit widthwise), they sell good home made bread and offer reasonably priced horseback riding on beautiful horses. Shower tip, as it is either scalding or freezing, run a bit of the hot water in the sink while scalding and it cools off the shower to a nice hot.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place with stunning views! Grassy area with some tables and benches. Nice bathrooms with hot showers and a huge kitchen for use. We paid 4'000 per person.

Report Check-In

Our favorite place on the Carretera! Highly recommended. Huge grassy camping area run by a friendly family. They sell fresh veggies, some of the only ones you'll find on this road out of season. There is a nice kitchen with wood-fired oven and stove and a big sink area. There is a second covered fogon with a fireplace and sink. It's on a small river (with fish!) and five minutes walk from the huge Rio Baker. Stunning scenery, mountains, rivers, and fields. I'd move here in a heartbeat. You can also buy a "Patagonia Chileana Sin Represas" sticker here. The owner told us if the dams go through as planned the entire property will be 20 meters under water. Sad.
