There is a trail going down the river from RN 40. here a nice place to camp, hidden from the road and with a lot of wood for a firecamp. For big rigs, just 100m after (coming from belen) there is a big flat place above the river, it is just a little bit longer to reach the river.

Rain made the access difficult. High clearance vehicle 4WD needed. Instead found a spot near the virgen.
Report Check-InGood spot to camp and break drive from cafayate to Mendoza. Quiet mid week. Some locals drove by. Police station near the campground. Run down restrooms. Free.
