Great spot and worth the 17km drive in! We lowered the tire pressure, which helped smoth out the bumps and gain traction. The Arroyo is pretty mellow. Stay right on the way in.

The sand is super soft. Good waves for the surfers and mellow enough for the swimmers. lots of spots with hard ground to park.

An amazing campspot! The road to get there is tricky, and there is some soft sand if you want to make it to this spot...but honestly it is worth it! We had our own private beach (everyone stays at the break point)
Just a 15 mins walk to get incredible waves!
Stayed there for 7 nights, only left because we run out of water 😅
A friendly Mexican and a super unfriendly American came the day before we left, and paid 300 pesos for our entire stay. Negotiate! specially in this far end where is certainly unclear if it is owned by anyone.

Beautiful beach. Clean sites. Quiet nights, no music bumping into the night hours. Not many others here and people are scattered and are far apart. A nice guy comes along and collects 50 pesos per person per night and WRITES it down to document that you paid. A long road in but worth the journey. Aren’t most journeys worth it?
A cute, older couple in a pickup truck come by some late afternoons selling empanadas, or tamales, 20-25 pesos each. Buy something and help them out.

Nice secluded spot to camp. Many spots to choose. Went further out and no one came to collect money.

We stayed here twice over the past couple of weeks. On our first night (early January) no one came to collect any money. Last night someone did come, super nice guy. He wanted 60 pesos per person per night. I negotiated him down to 50 pesos per person per night.
Overall, great place, lovely beach, lots of room to spread. Soft sand

Amazing place, lots of options to camp, the closer to the beach the softer the sand gets.
No one came to collect any money

Nice spot just behind a sand dune but still gets a good breeze. Ocean is right there but you can’t see the beach from the site Unless you have 4x4 to drive in the deep sand, can hear the waves crashing all night. NOT FREE, had someone come collect 100peso per night. Couple out houses and apparently a shower near the guys house, we didn’t use had our own. On the way in we came across a cattle guard that had a wire fence tied across the road and about 5 km from the beach another fence with a private property sign. The road is well traveled and there are lots of surf stickers so we kept going and it was fine. super nice beach!

Wonderful place. A little bit of trash. No amenities. FREE camping!!

Lovely spot, stayed for 3 nights before La Paz for some surfing. Waves were too big for us but maybe good if you're experienced? Still gorgeous beach. No facilities so bring everything you need. Were approached for a camping fee on one of the nights, 50 pesos PP. Road in from km82 was fine in our 2wd van, just don't stop on the sandy parts and you'll be fine but slow down on the washboard parts - we gained a new rattle!

dreamful splendid lonesome beach. please take your trash with you and bury your deposit and paper!

We tried this place first, but there was a American couple who told us, they rent this place for half a year and it’s private... however, drive more south to „seperate lonley dream beach“ and you‘ll get lucky!

Make a right from the highway you can’t miss the entry, there’s only one and it’s wide. Half an hour of unpaved road but it was super smooth, no 4wd needed a car can actually make it. You’ll see a «  Private property » sign with a gate but don’t bother, keep going. There were so many vans here, the vibe is awesome, lot of the people we met stay here for weeks. You can either stay at the hill top ocean view point but we preferred going left they’re plenty of spots around the bushes and we parked 3 vans together and had our own little quiet place. 50 pesos per head or 4$us per night so it’s cheaper if you pay in pesos. Great surf, toilette, outdoor shower, fire pit. Loved this spot so much we stayed 4 days! :)

Half an hour of dirt road from km 82, easily doable in a 2wd. When you get to the beach, there is plenty of parking on a hill top overlooking the ocean or you can keep driving on the left and drive in between the tall bushes where most people are camping. There are plenty of spots to park in although sand can be a little soft. We saw a few people in small cars so it's doable. Lots of surfers camped here, cool vibe. Pit toilets available but no water. Nobody came to ask for a camping fee.
