As said below, 7th floor in the massive modern building.
There's only one office on that floor so hard to miss.
I just asked a random person there and they helped me straight away, incredibly friendly and polite, 30 mins max.
20$ or 50k tzs for 1 month extension.
Only documents needed where my original TIP and passport, I left my bike at the hotel and no problems.
Really quick and good service. 20$ for 1 month extension. But be aware of the elevators. We got stuck with a lot of people due to power shortage. Need to push the doors to get out. The stairs are also really nice… And enjoy the view from the office on the city!
Report Check-InStill on the 7th floor. Really nice building and friendly staff who speak English. I had to extend my TIP with 1 month. Was done quickly.
Report Check-InThe office is still on the 7th floor. The staff were super helpfull. We were two days late with extention, but they were understanding and didn't charge us anything. We were told that we have to take our vehicle, but they didn't ask to see it at all. The whole process took about 15minutes.
Report Check-InCustoms is now in the new TPA tower behind the old Tanzania Revenue Service building.
Extension of your TIP is on the 7’th floor!
One month is 20 USD.
We were in time, but the inspector was keen to point out that you should always extend your TIP in time, and before it is expired.
There are hefty fines involved if you don’t!
It’s always a bit of an anxiety to have to go through customs. The building is full of people coming and going, but once the right office was found, I met friendly and efficient people. they extended my license for the car, explained how to change my dollars into shillings and steal from the bank before handing over the papers. The attendant was assisted by an assistant in an office where there were indeed 15 people. an essential place of passage if you want to stay more than 3 months with your vehicle in the country.
Report Check-InEntering on a Carnet and extending road tax was not that easy for me, I left my car for 3 months as I had to leave for an emergency back home and first I had to write an appeal to the Commissioner, after 2 weeks back again for a letter that had the wrong dates, they kept me waiting for 3 hours and still no real resolve....the friendly lady who helped me before is great, the guy with the big mustache is useless...in the end I had to pay 120USD
Report Check-Inwe were also a few days too late but it was very easy to extend our TIP. The bank is inside the building. Closed on saterday afternoon and sunday.
Report Check-InVery easy and hassle free to extend TIP. Our TIPs were overdue by one week, but no troubles or questions.
Bring vehicle documents and passport, head up to the second floor and enter office where it says Domestic Revenue Department - Reception.
Motorcycle parking along the entry of the building.
