Description

National Forest Campground on Hwy 89. Nice shady places at river.

Campground not maintained from October to mid May. No fee during this period. At least there were no fee envelopes at pay station and no Informationen about fee. Only sign that not maintained.

I'm not sure what kind of facilities are available during season. Might not be suitable for big rigs due to narrow road and trees.

Report Check-In

Heavily wooded on the Snake not far from Jackson Hole. Access to the river is limited, due to terrain and brush. Very clean pit toilet. Sweet host. $10 with the Senior Pass. No Verizon.

Report Check-In

Nice campground that is primitive/unserviced from October- May. Gate is open so you can pick a spot and stay free.

Report Check-In

Great campground, came in late but got a warm welcome by the host. Lots of trees, wide pull in spots, clean toilet. Nice stay!

Report Check-In

Nice campground. Lots of trees. (Could be an issue for very tall rigs, but a tall sprinter van was across from us with no issues). #5,6,7 are alongside the Snake River. Eagles nest halfway up the hill on the other side of the river.
Pull throughs and back-ins and a couple of group sites.
Saw a deer in the campground in the morning. Watched an eagle perched; fishing. And saw Western Tanagers and hummingbirds.
Table, ring, grill & Bear boxes at sites. Multiple pit toilets. Firewood bundles for $6 and $15/night fee.

Drove right in, no res, perfect creekside site. $15/night. Quiet and after the madhouse of Jackson it’s heaven here. Bear box at site.

Stayed here for 3 nights, THERES NO FREE CAMPING IN EAST WYOMING, because you are in National Parks! Don’t get stuck like we did trying to find a place last minute, most fill up during summer months.

$15 a night, plus $7 for an extra vehicle. Great price compared to some of the campsites in Jackson. Large RV’s & trailers won’t fit here. Lots of trees to maneuver around & road isn’t paved.

Pit toilets that are cleaned well, drinkable water, right by a nice river. Highly recommend!

great place on the road. it was just me there. it has tables, fire pits, clean restroom, water.

Good place to stay ! Pretty basic campground: picnic table, fire pit and barbecue !
No service september til may so it’s free which is nice. Access to the river.

The price is 15$ per site. Every place is for 8 Persons. In the opposite is an overflow place and i think it is for free. It’s a gravel road a little uphill. (Picture 4)

There actually 3 or 4 National Forest campgrounds with basic facilities along this road. Although one was closed when we went past others were open. Had we not had another spot lined up we would have stayed here!

Report Check-In

Arrived here at 1030pm. Very quiet National Forest campground. 15 dollar fee (7 for additional vehicles). Upon waking in the morning, we discovered a the river and that there was the host and one other person camping.

Pit toilets are clean and not smelly. Natural source drinking water available. Fire rings, bear boxes, table at each site.Pull through or back in sites available (roughly 30 sites in total). Close to boat launches.

Report Check-In

Headed there early May, road was closed off as bot open yet. But we couldn’t get access to the campground at all.

Report Check-In

This campsite was closed in the off season (Oct-May) and the gate was locked. However, we stayed a few hundred metres down the road at a boat launch which had ample flat ground, pit toilets and a river to wash dishes in. Signs say no camping, but we didn't see a soul after we pulled in around 8pm and no one came down in the morning. There was a bit of noise from the highway, but we slept fine. It's quite a lovely spot, actually, surrounded by treed mountains.
