Something not right?

Description

Very nice place well maintened by the support of locals and our donations, many tables and ring fire next to the river, but also next to the road.

roads to campsites are pretty rutted out but doable. big rigs can fit ok but probably no longer then 20 feet trailers

It’s by the water and free, so perfect. The trains are loud but I don’t mind it.

Worst night in my Vanlife experience. The trains are SO LOUD, horn 3-5 times just at your level because there is a road crossing and pass 1-2 times per hour all night long. Even with ear plugs it’s a nightmare. And the place was packed so we slept at the entrance.
I wish I knew that so I could stop somewhere else, so I hope my review will help someone to plan his itinerary differently.

Just an update, a couple trains last night but a very restful night. Adding a picture I took of the river (took photo 10 steps from my site).

Super nice place…. Choice of at least 10 sites…. There are probably 14 actual sites. Trains do run regularly, but totally worth the stop!

Great spot! We spent 3 nights here, the trains can be loud but they only go by every once and awhile. Bring ear plugs if your a light sleeper. There are about 10 spots here to camp, decent pit toilets, garbage cans and good cell service.

Roads a little rough and some have low tree line. I fit my 36’ close to road, but not many spots for bigger rigs. Beautiful scenery and rugged but well kept grounds overall. A place for free camping and by donations, I give it a two thumbs up!

Nice place at the river. It‘s for free. Better than a rest areas . The trains arent that loud. There were just 3 other camper so much privacy. Donations are welcome to fix this free sites. We stayed one night on our way to vancouver. Also nice for fishing another man was searching for gold at the river.

The place itself is quite nice, bit the two trainlines are super annoying. If you need a night without sleep, that’s your place to be.

Completely empty when we arrived around 3pm, with at least 5 other vans arriving later in the day. Found a great little spot right by the river. Some of the sites have picnic tables and fire pits amd other don't. Gravel road is quite bumpy/potholed but it was fine in our van (an old ford econoline). The trains can be noisy but it didn't bother us too much. The river is fast moving, but good for cooling off in the shallower sections by the bank.

holy damn this place is loud! trains on both side, fast highway right by also with logging truck. overall pretty difficult night. free tho.

And close to the railway with quite some hornblasts from the passing trains but still a relaxed place to stay. We stayed for 3 nights.
