An excellent and very large collection of huge fossils, a mummified body and lots of local history. Really interesting stuff BUT it's a guided tour museum, only in Spanish. The lady speaks slowly and clearly about the displays, but obviously you need more than a basic tourist command of the language to understand the explanations. 3000$ entry.

Report Check-InWe really enjoyed this museum in the small town of Guane. It was $3,000 COP per person and it's a mandatory guided tour. Lots of fossils and local history, learned lots of new things here. The tour is in Spanish and ours lasted about 20-25 minutes. If you're in the area, definitely swing by!

It's a nice 1.5 to 2 hour walk, Camino Real, mostly downhill, very scenic, from Barichara to get here. Bus back to Barichara leaves from the main square approx quarter-past every hour.
