Super spot. The campers here now have cleared all the rubbish away and it looks beautiful. No longer a boat ramp but fishermen sit at the shore. Swim at your risk, gators in the water. Excellent drop toilet. Highly recommended.

5 dispersed camp sites with pit toilet. 1 van there looked like he had been there a while. lots of hunters in 4x trucks on the road and driving fast into the campground. otherwise I felt safe enough but chose to go to a more developed spot to hike

The road in was totally fine, just some potholes, and the campsites were clean. I was the only person there aside from some locals passing through for fishing or sunset views. Highly recommend!

Great spot. Gravel road was just fine for our van. Just a few small pot holes. Clean pit toilet.beautiful sunrise and sunset. 2 other campers here. A couple picnic tables. Only negative was Lots of trash around.

This was a nice little spot on the river. Road has been graded and isn't that bad anymore. The restroom onsite was a little ripe though.

Great location ! It’s about a two mile drive on a rocky, dirt road but it’s not bad at all. Multiple spots throughout the area. About 4 other vehicles here and campers when we arrived. Small one person bathroom with pit toilet. Beautiful location. Will be back !

Super nice place. Maybe 6 spots. 2 riverfront. All level and nice to park in. 1 to 3 bars AT&T lte. Pit toilets. Road was great. No mud. Not potholes. Nice relaxing spot.

A little spooky at night, but a great spot. A couple of others (one large motorhome), some day use some stayed overnight. The slow rise and fall of the river just added to the peace, next time I'll bring the kayak. The road is pretty rough but only 3 spots where you can't avoid the potholes. If you don't have high clearance you will probably leave parts behind. If it's been raining the mud pit near the end might send you back or trap you. (last rain about 5 days previous)

Great spot. The road is well maintained. Overall relaxing. Have the place to myself.

Just adding that currently road is very bumpy. I got 0.5 from the landing until there was a big mud spot I didn’t feel comfortable getting through. So 4wd probably needed if there’s been any rain recently. No pull offs along road & nearby Hayesanding is just a parking lot.

Indeed a nice spot on a river. Realistically, there are two campsites, and place for about 7 other cars to park. One site a vehicle can pull into, the other next to, both on the river. The rest of the area is just parking, which is fine and level as well, but less interesting for a longer stay. There is a nice hike back down the road a bit as well that takes you to other boat landings. AT&T works fine. 14 day max, and no garbage, so pack it out and keep it clean.

Awesome waterfront hideout tucked away from civilization. I'm in a 24 class C. There's a long dirt road with some potholes to watch out for. i wouldn't recommend anything larger than a 26f. Pit toilet in good shape. 3 other people were here. Sign says 14 day max stay.

Amazing place !!! We were alone in the middle of no where ❣️ we heard hélicoptère till late night because of the military base close by but not a problem. People before us leave a lot of trash that we clean up so Please !! Be respectful to others and bring your garbage back with you. The road to come here is not made for big rig.

Long Point Landing is open again as is the rest of the Croatan National Forest after Hurricane Florence.

Currently closed due to Hurricane Florence damage. Additionally extremely heavy mosquito population as a result of the hurricane. I will post when it opens up again.
