Follow hwy 211, aprox. 5 mile before you enter the N.P. go north on Hamburger Rd. Pass the BLM-Campground to your right (also nice but 10usd) and continue on that gravel road into the canyon.
You can camp on many sites but if you cross the "indian creek" (just 4x4) there is a nice and flat plateau on your left.
Realy dark and quite area, great!!!

Truly insane. Not another soul during our end of January visit. Lots of sites along the road, some which extend further for more privacy. Prius approved!
Report Check-InWhat an awesome find!! Really cool sites. Was packed when I was there. I found a spot at the very end before the mentioned cliff spot, which was quite sketchy of a road.
Report Check-InGreat spot very rocky, not a great spot to set up a tent. Ended up sleeping in the back of the truck
Report Check-InSo many places to camp back in this area. The campground is the only toilets and it was pretty crowded, so recommend to stop at the toilets before it gets dark. Beautiful area!
Report Check-InSeveral places along the road. Beautiful canyons and valley. I parked in front of the group site, at the other side of the road. Awesome view and I think protected from the wind. Stunning sunset. Whatever you park is beautiful.
Report Check-InGreat location with tons of places the camp. The plateau mentioned by the OP was taken when I got here but it looked incredible to camp at so I'd suggest checking it first. There were plenty of other spots nearby that were almost as good. Closest free place to camp to the Needles Canyonlands.
