Campground at eastern end of lake - off Ruta 9 Chile
Several places along road into the lake. We went a little further up a 4WD track and had views over the lake.
Take your rubbish back. Keep nature clean.
Go up to the hills above. There is a cave and some climbing routes. Respect nature!

This camp site is no longer accessible. there is a fence that crosses the 4x4 track up to it.
Report Check-InBeautiful place to spend the night, description just like all the others said
Report Check-Inbeautiful spot to spend the night. gravel road to the place is accesible with a motorhome. enough space for multiple cars and vans. you can even put op a tent here. quiet place, in the afternoon some locals swimming and eating there. night was quiet. good for a morning swim, cold but refreshing.
Report Check-InGreat spot. Good views and a nice hike up the mountain from the parking lot. A bit windy, so try to find cover behind one of the big rocks.
Report Check-InThis is an amazing place to camp for free. There is a small parking lot right by the east shore of the lake that can probably fit 5-7 vehicles. It's private land owned by an estancia that's right there but they don't have an issue with people parking there. When we pulled in they were out chasing rabbits in their truck with flashlights and we talked to them briefly. They were happy to show us where to park. Highly recommend this place.
Report Check-InGreat spot with awesome views and lots of condors overhead! You can walk up to surrounding hills to see them up close. Little wind protection but there’s a perfect flat pad for a small tent up on the hill south of the lake which is surprisingly well sheltered as it’s a depression in the hill.
Report Check-InAwesome spot right beside the lake, only one other couple in a tent on the lake shore. Very peaceful quiet night, came on a Wednesday night. Bit windy in the morning but there are sheltered locations. Small stream close to camp for fresh water.
Report Check-InSome interesting climbing on conglomerate rock. Walk all the way up the 4WD track and then walk uphill along the fence when you get to the end. A couple of sweet caves to Bivvy in up there too.
Report Check-InBeautiful gratis campsite at the lake. Not far away from some climbing rocks.
No toilettes, just nature. Keep it clean and take your rubbish back.
Report Check-InHorribly busy after 5pm on Friday in peak season. We followed the dirt track all the way up the hill and had no trouble in our 2 wheel drive 4 runner. Stayed for a few beers but didn't sleep. Was forecast to rain. Are lots of places to pull off but definitely aim for mid week.
Report Check-InThe first night there (thursday night) we arrived in the dark to an abandoned perfect lakeside camp, and saw no one else. The next afternoon we went back to our spot to find dozens of families picnicking, and a few stayed for the whole night. Recommended on a weeknight, cause on the weekends there are only a few hidden "pee spots", heavily used by all! Blah!
Report Check-InGreat camp spot. Locals here during the day, but we were alone during the nights. Since we couldnt bring our dogs into the park, this was a perfect base camp to do day trips from.
Report Check-InExcellent free camp spot by the lake with stunning views up the lake to the mountains....and condors. There is a nic uphill hike also from the lake side which affords even better views. So good that we actually used this as a base for for 3 nights, It is a 20 minute drive north from Puerto Natales on the road to Torres Del Paine Park, the road to Laguna Sofia is just 3kms past the turn into Molodon on the left hand side and well signed. You then travel 5kms on a good gravel road to the lake side and there are other good spots to camp with views along the track as well. We managed to find showers in Puerto Natales for CP2000 each. The Information Center on the shore front opposite Petrobras Fuel Station was really helpful and had free internet.
Report Check-InGreat camp spot! We chose to park by the lakeside where there are 4/5 spots most vehicles even big rigs could camp with ease. Very little rubbish when we were there. The road in is about 5 kms of well graded gravel from the main road into Torres Del Paine. There are a couple of spots up on the hill as well should the waterside sites be full, probably at the weekends.
Report Check-InInformal campground on eastern end of lake - off Ruta 9 Chile
Several places along road in to the lake. We went a little further up a 4WD track and had dress-circle position with views over the lake.
