Perfect place for dispersed camping right outside the Grand Canyon. We came in October and had our pick of the crop for pulloffs. Very peaceful and lots of great fire pits. Can’t ask for much more than this!

Report Check-In

Down this road, there are multiple pull offs where you can easily park your rig. You have to go past the cattle guard signs because there is no camping until after these signs, but it is only about a half mile to a mile before you can park. We got there around 11 pm and there was a lot of space to park, as well as rock formations for fire places. This place was definitely a great spot for us to wake up to and go hike the Grand Canyon! Only about 3 minutes from the entrance gate!! Would recommend this road.

Report Check-In

Great location to camp but busy, had to share with others looking for a free spot. Several spots along this road, just make sure when you head down from the main road on the dirt road to drive past the cattle grate before finding a spot (as the no camping signs are everywhere before that).

Wow super accessible même avec trailer! pleins de place.

Report Check-In

Very spacius, along the #328. Good gravelroad, we did it with a C Class RV 25 food.

Stayed one night prior to an early morning canyon hike. Saw some other folks nearby, but everybody was quiet and gave a friendly wave when passing. Multiple spots far enough apart from each other, I stayed directly next to the road so that I could get out easily in the dark AM. Very easy to get to

plusieurs endroits de terre pour camper sur le long de la route. au débit, il est interdit de s'y installer, mais en continuant un peu sur la route, il y a pleins de beaux spots. très tranquille pour y passer la nuit.

Report Check-In

perfect place for staying while visiting Grand Canyon, stayed for four nights.

Report Check-In

Several places to sleep along this well-maintained, drivable road. Sheltered from the wind in the trees, with a fire ring and really close to the entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in our 4Runner with a roof top tent and we were surprised to have wild horses grazing right by us. It happened shortly at night and then at 6:30 in the morning. It was amazing, they came very close to the car while eating. We had a birds eye view of them. Totally awesome place to pull over and camp if you have something discrete and easy to pull in and out with. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous place! There are no camping signs until you go over the cattle guard. Good cell phone.

Report Check-In

Several pull off sites. All very nice with fire rings. Very quiet

Great free camping! Road was fine for our jeep and 18ft vintage trailer. The entrance to the site we chose was rutted but fine to get in and out. Might want a shovel to level out entrances (we just pushed some gravel around with our feet to fill in the dip). Fire rings, shade from trees, 3 minutes to entrance of Grand Canyon S Rim, lots of space for dogs to run. There were wild horses!

Road was a little muddy getting in but doable for 2wd. Lovely level spots. Definitely popular but was able to find a spot. Seems like there's a bunch of pull offs up this road.

Nice campsite on 328. Awesome site just outside of the Grand Canyon National Park. Woke up to snow, which made it even more wonderful. 3 bars of cell service for both Verizon & AT&T

Report Check-In

Stayed here for two night. Really nice place with several pull offs. Several places have fire rings as well. Any one can make it back here just make sure you pick a spot 1/4 mile down the road as a sign says no camping for 1/4 mile

Report Check-In

Great spot. Felt safe. Surprisingly little wind.

Report Check-In

Lots of spots on this road. this one had a circle to drive around so easy in and out with a trailer. 5G TMobile! What a nice spot.

Report Check-In

Great campsites all up and down the 328 access road. Heavily trafficked, but plenty space to spread out.

Awesome spot! Or I guess we should say spots! We showed up late on a Friday night and had no trouble finding a flat, easily accessible spot. Minutes to the park entrance and Tusayan. Decent service with att and Verizon.

Fantastic quiet camp site that is easy to get to and nice and flat. Large fire ring and tons of privacy.

Report Check-In

Great spot, skip the craziness of trying to camp at the campground. This spot is perfect.

Report Check-In

Wonderful camping spot! There are several along this gravel road (road is in great shape), and this particular spot is very spacious. It even has two firepits, so bring some firewood. The area is also level and has very little noise. No trash at the site either.

Report Check-In

Enter FS Rd 328 from Hwy 180. As others have said, there are “no camping” signs for .5 mile after which you will come upon many boondocking sites! Spacious, level and nearly trash free! YAY! Good going, guys! (Except TP! Please remember to deep bury or pack out your pee/poop TP! :)

Note: this road has no helicopter noise, whereas the Long Jim Loop Road is noisier...
Cell service: 3 bars sustained T-Mobile! right on!

Report Check-In

Super easy access camping close to the park entrance. Do not let the no camping signs at the beginning deter you! Keep driving past them until you don’t see the no camping signs and you find fire rings. I really enjoyed my spot here. Moderate road traffic and quite a few people, but very peaceful. Didn’t really notice the helicopters.

Report Check-In

Several spots along the good gravel road. Trees for shadow. People at night. No amenities. Free. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Gravel road is in great shape. Plenty of spots available. Good Verizon coverage. AT&T is roaming.

Report Check-In

Perfect for getting into the park early the next day. Lots of places back in the forest.

Don’t be confused by the “No Camp 1/4 Mile” sign.

That just means you need to be 1/4 mile off the highway. The park has blocked off the first few spots closest to the road. Lots more further back.

The sign is a little confusing

I've camped in this set of roads three separate times and I have always found a spot. No 4wd needed generally. Some spots are big and others tucked away. Quiet and peaceful forest.

Report Check-In

surprisingly close to the grand canyon visitor center. and has cell service!

Dormimos una noche aca (el punto donde nosotros dormimos es un poco mas cerca de la ruta). Lugar super tranquilo, sin ruidos (apenas se escuchan los aviones y los autos)

Report Check-In

Totalmente recomendable

Report Check-In

great place for free close to grand canyon NP.
but: please take your trash back home

Report Check-In

Didn't hear any helicopters or planes. Lot of spots, really quiet, rings fire, and really close to the south rim. We just had to move the second day we spent because of the snow (not have 4x4). The spot near Tusayan is better with winter conditions.

Report Check-In

great free spots very close to the park. definitely recommend. yes lots of air traffic because of the airport near by but not a big deal. gets quite at night.

Report Check-In

Great place, many spots. Spent two nights, always leaving by 8am, and was never disturbed by helicopter noise.
