I would recommend vans and trucks to park at the big parking lot on the right directly after the payment booth. As soon as the sun sets it gets calm and we had a quiet night here. The road through the village is very narrow and incredibly busy in the afternoon, so best to avoid with your overland vehicle.

It’s a nice place in the morning and evening and in the night(10pm) very quite. In between it’s crowded during the day but it’s nice. If you manage to arrive before 12am you can have your breakfast/lunch on those Iranian traditional picnic benches beside the dry River of Kandovan and find a good parking spot.

Now the price to enter the village is 20.000 TOMAN (200.000 Rial) PER CAR. Then you can stay as long as you want. We stayed 2 nights under the trees before the toilet block and it was ok. Difficult to drive through the village with a big rig.

WE slep at the dead end of the village below the grey WC building on the flat area. Quiet. A Mady (with a missing eye) came, required money and bargained. WE had to give 100,000 rials for each vehicle.

At this time of the year restaurants in town are closed. The restaurant of the high class hotel by the entrance of the village serves good food and a great breakfast buffet for 20.000 t.
We slept in the village.

Slept at the parking. Stalls at west side of the stream were all closed this time of year, but otherwise no privacy either side. Quiet at night. Toilets up the hill across the stream. Also no entry fee (this time of year). The village itself is much more authentic than I expected. Very cool to see. There’s a nice walk up and around the village with views from the tops of the cones. Very enjoyable at sunrise.
