Description
Number of thatched rondavel chalets and flat area for tents. Chalets have kitchen area including gas hob, table, Bedroom 2x single beds and shower with hot water (when sun shines). Provided us with plastic bath and large pot to boil own bath water. No mains electricity. Facilities are basic but clean and operational. 200R pppn. Views over valley and mountains. We didn't camp but there appears to be toilets and hot water in small block

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful surrounds and magnificent views. Come prepared with food supplies. Rondavels have small 2 hob stove and owners will supply a solar lamp. Simple and very basic but highly recommended.
Report Check-InAs described before. Camping was 100 per person per night, because of the cold weather we decided to take a chalet, which was 300 per person per night. We had a chalet with separate bedroom, our own bathroom and a gas stove in the 'living room'.
Sadly the owner himself wasn't present, so we didn't do any of the activities.
we received a very warm welcome from Telangs niece who was running the place.
Basic green lawn campsite with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Ablutions are ok, one toilet for ladies and one for men. Three showers available.
People managing the place are very friendly and offer different activities to do as well (hikes, horse riding, etc.) Perfect spot for a first night in Lesotho. Paid R100 per person.
Note:
The road to get here is gravel with lots of rocks. 4x4 not needed when dry, but can imagine when there’s lots of mud or snow you will not reach it without. High clearance and low tire pressure is advised.
Thelang was gracious to welcome us despite having not booked prior to our arrival.
The Chalets go for R300 (self contained) and R200 (non selfcontained). We paid R200 for camping for two people.
The network reception is bad. Even he, Thelang confirmed as we relentlessly tried reaching him to make a booking. So, keep trying especially wheb you cant reach him. His numbers and email is provided by @baroudeursdesen.
There is also no power. There's solar, however the battery hardly charges because of the cold weather according to Thelang. So, he runs a generator most evenings.
We never got to ask about charging spots for campers as we arrived late and left early morning, but the reception area looked to have charging pots.
They have flashing toilets with very hot showers. It was really cold the night we arrived and what a relief it was to have hot water.
Overall, it's a recommendable spot to stop about 61Km from the Tele Bridge border post! The spectacular views are default to Lesotho.
Report Check-InWe are very happy that we stopped here for our first night in Lesotho. The facilities were much better than we expected from the previous review, strong hot shower, flushing toilets, the chalets are very big, too but we were camping. Telang is super friendly, he took us on a little hike up Mount Moroosi and told us a lot about the battle from 1871 between King Moorosi chief of the Baphuthi tribe and the British. We learned a lot about the history of Lesotho. You can also contact Telang if you would like to visit an old traditional village built into the caves or if you want to go trout fishing (bring your own gear) or as mentioned before for birdwatching.
Report Check-InBeautiful, quiet & lots to see and do. Thelang (owner) is passionate about the conservation of vultures (Cape vulture and Bearded vulture). He gladly shares his knowledge and challenges faced in their conservation. Birdwatchers are welcome to contact him. People can also join him on trips when he does the annual counting of vultures from May - July.
Report Check-InNice view. Campsites on grass. No electricity. Hot shower. Ablutions very simply. You can use the kitchen from the owners. Quiet place. You can hiking for couple of hours with Telang the guide and owner. The camping price is now 100 R/ppn. Friendly Family!
