Nice people. Wifi really fast near house. Laundry for a couple dollars per load. Not sure how much exactly but we did 4 loads plus stayed and bought a fresh loaf of bread all for $26 usd so not bad.

I’ve ben here for a while and I’m so good thai I can not leave! Of you like nature and its best products, good friends and animals, this is your place! An, of course, you will find everything you need: electrical connections, WiFi, water, wc, shower, kitchen and much more. And the Britos makes you feel like family!

Ótimo para algumas noites. Família muito simpática, ainda fizemos uma “feira” na Granja com ótimos preços e tudo de ótima qualidade. Há poucos quilômetros de Montevidéu!

local tranquilo para passar a noite. é um propriedade organica com produções de hortaliças e frutas. a entrada para quem vem da rodovia é mais fechada com muitas árvores e arbustos. não tem.placa com indicação de nome. tem somente uma placa com desenho de uma estrela amarela no fundo azul. 500 pesos a noite (casal)

One single, pretty, but basic site. We stayed three nights after arriving in Montevideo by boat (arranging luggage, buying groceries, city-visit). Serena is very welcoming.

Walk 1,5 km to the main road (or ask Serena to take you) and take bus line 169 into town.

Matthias will roll out an extension cord to give you electricity, the (sluggish) WiFi is only available around their house.

Matthias and Serena love their place and it shows.

La Orientala has been one of my highlights of almost a year in the Americas. Mathias and Serena welcomed me on to their beautiful property and into their family. I planned to stay two days and stayed a month as it was too good to pass up. The farm is set just outside the city which can be reached by a 45 minute bus ride. The family has connections in the area and is more than happy to help you with anything you need. Their farm is full of delicious oranges, mandarins, lemons, lettuce, cabbage, and many more. While staying, I helped with some of the projects which are being undertaken. The place is beautiful as is but will be even more stunning in the coming months. I can not recommend it enough. If looking for a peaceful place out of the city surrounded by wonderful people, this is your spot.

Estivemos por duas noites, se trata de uma fazenda de cultivo de produtos orgânicos, perto do centro de Montevideo, pessoal muito educado, receptivo e acolhedor! Acampamos em nossa barraca de teto, apesar do frio foi muito confortável, estrutura de banheiro, luz, água, wifi formidável. Contato direto com a natureza, por falta de tempo não fomos conhecer toda a fazenda, mas pelas explicações e pelas frutas vistas, é de grande produtividade de produtos 100% naturais! Enfim recomendo!

Its worth to spend a night here! Its an beautiful place. We were there for 3 nights. The entrance is a little bit hidden, you have to look for a yellow sign. The family living here is very nice. You can buy lots of organic vegetables, fruits and eggs. They also had selfmade bread. There are also lots of animals: cats, dogs, chicken, birds and even a donkey. We payed 500 Pesos per night for 2 Persons and a motorcycle.

Small dirt road leading to a gate. No sign yet, low hanging branches. Enter gate and walk to the house. Very helpful if you need something. Swiss couple, both speaking Spanish, English, French, Italian. 15US$ per car/night. Washing machine 5US$ per use. No dish washing facility. Possibility to buy fresh vegetables.

Beautiful campsite in the middle of the organic farm "Granja la Orientala", located 35 minutes away from Montevideo. Stay here if you want to experience beautiful nature without missing any conveniences.

The farm belongs to a five-person family and one farm employee, which live next door. Bathroom shared with one person and optional 100% organic breakfast, lunch and dinner, enjoyed with the family. Tip: Ask for a tour through the farm and learn more about organic farming and South American agriculture.
