Namibia
Very simple. Braai place, a small shadow net of about 6m2, a “real” toilet hidden by walls made of wooden branches, though you have to fill the toilet yourself with water from the river. On a sandy, rocky bank of the river. Beautiful surrounding. A sign says you should pay only to the person with the camp book. Didn’t stay there, just took a bath in the river. Didn’t see anybody.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful secluded place surrounded by mountains. Very basic but looked after by friendly people. Just be aware, when you arrive from the East you'll face a river crossing and a steep rock climb out of the river bed before you get to the camp (only possible with 4x4).
Report Check-InAmazing views over the river River Hoanib and high mountains surrounding the place.
A small waterfall is directly down by the campsite.
We were greeted by 2 community members and got firewood.
