Nice spot on top off the mountains with a view. Nr 10.

Report Check-In

We arrived here around 8pm and there were spots available, we paid 53 dollars for full hook ups (from friday to sunday is 63). The staff was really friendly and we had a great time. A bundle of firewood costs 15 dollars. Around 10 am the cars started racing and we were able to enjoy it, however, it is really noisy so it can be a problem for some. There is also a shooting place nearby that can hardly be heard on the spot we were in.

Update. Spots are now $48 off season. Plug in and non potable water at every spot. Free hot showers also available .

Large camping area, atop the hill, next to race track, shooting range and dirt bike tracks. 3 campgrounds (2 with hookups, 1 dry); only the Chaparral (with hookups) is open in the off season. It was like a paved pkg lot, small sites squished side by side. There was a lower section that may have had larger sites. Don't know what the other campgrounds are like. In Nov there was no one else here so it was ok but would never want to stay here when it is full! We were originally assigned a terrible spot, in the shade, with no view, right beside the washroom building (we could have reached out the window and touched the building). There was no one else around, so we moved to the other side of the campground, had some nice evening sunshine and a beautiful sunset. Large clean washrooms. Free showers, tho the bldg is not heated and the water not very hot so chilly in November. Very friendly guy at the check in gate. You can reserve online, or if you are there before 6pm you can check in at the gate. There is security personnel at the gate after 6pm, thru the night, so very safe. Could hear the shooting range (which is down the hill) off and on till about 8pm, then again about 9am. The race track and dirt bike tracks have no events scheduled thru the winter, so no noise from there! It was pretty windy atop the hill in the evening but it died down later. Overall, I would stay here again in the off season.

This is for dry camping: Great place to stay, close to groceries, restaurants, beaches, great views of sunsets. Quiet. Security on site and patrols all night. Free Showers, free to watch races on non-event weekends. Fires permitted in fire rings, picnic tables at each site. Clean porta potties dispersed conveniently thru-out camp ground with restrooms and showers near main road, easy to walk to.

Nice place super nice people very helpful. The spaces are not that accommodating for big Rigs. Lots of unconventional sites with all back in angles. But super nice quiet weathers great. Depending on what you wanna do here you need to pick and choose your seats wisely don’t count on a lot of room. Most sites are undeveloped. They do say they have some with electrical and water in a couple loops. But even these sites are a bit odd. All in all nice place I will definitely come back. Don’t get yourself caught up in one of the loops with a larger trailer mine is 28 feet bumper pool. We barely made it through a couple of turnarounds and I am a Experienced driver. Could turn out to be disastrous. One dump station on site. $40 a night for electrical and water 35 for undeveloped.

As described. Some long-stayers. Showers and restrooms quite far away from campsites. Was very windy when we were here. Beautiful views though and seems like a normal price for this area
