Great campsite on the beach, nice bar and swimming pool. $10 pppn. Location is under Dutch management now (since end 2019), the place is worth a visit.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We stayed there 4 days and let our truck for 3 days during our trip to Zanzibar. Price is still 10$pppn and 5$ to park the truck. The place is very close to the ferry to access Dar city center, and it's full of good vibes with beautiful beach, swiming pool, bar, billard... However I think it's quite expensive as no électricity, no drinkable water only outdoor cold shower and on the opposite side of the camp. You have to ask for a garbage bin (and the did not empty it for 3 days). Laundry is 20000tsh for a big bag.
Report Check-InAwesome spot. Beautiful blue pool right next to bar and restaurant. Ocean right there. We were there in a Tuesday night and it was not loud at all. Stayed in a cabin with toilet and shower for 110,000tzs for two, breakfast included. Nice food at restaurant. Great pressure in camp showers. Tuk tuk service; we got it to airport. Would recommend staying here
Report Check-InWifi, card facilities, good food menu. Nice view on the beach.
BUT I will never ever come close to this place again. The music next door at night is soooooooo loud. Its horrible. I feel like there is a bass vibrator in my ear drum. If it wasn't for that it would have been very nice.

Report Check-InWe reached the camp on a Saturday. For us it was just too loud to sleep before the music ended at 4am ... So if you want to make party it's the right place. If you want to sleep it's not the right place at least at the weekend.
The beach is nice and also the bar and the pool are nice. The showers are cold (but at these temperatures refreshing).
Overall ok .. but
with the music nothing we would recommend.
Stayed here twice for a night, before and after Zanzibar, both times on a weekday. Enjoyed the beach, bar, restaurant. Yes, there was music, possibly from both sides, but not that loud and stopped by 2200. We had a good time here, but if you dislike pop/rock, want quiet time, sleep early and light, or maybe on weekend, I imagine you might not like it as much.
price $10 for camper with 2.
Location is now run by Dutch guy, named Jesse. He really is improving the place. Small things like fresh water showers and free stable wifi are now operational. You can camp between the palmtrees on the beach. Nice bar to have a cold beer.
Report Check-InCampsite in a beautiful location close to Dar. A little run down. We didn’t stay but stored our car here for 10 days whilst in Zanzibar (10,000 per night). Open air storage behind restaurant. We also got them to wash our bed sheets and store our cheese in their fridge whilst we were away. Some sort of beach club next door which was quite loud in the afternoons
Report Check-Ingreat location for car storage when on Zanzibar.
awful location for camping as it's right next to an open air nightclub that pumps music out until 3am.
in short, store your car here, DO NOT camp here.
Report Check-InGood location nice beach and camped right on it. Had power connection too. Good facilities v.clean only salt water showers but had bucket fresh water to use! Nice staff. Can leave the car for 10,000 Tsh in zanzibar per day.
Report Check-InStill the same. Very convenient location close to Kigamboni ferry and possibility to leave the car if going to Zanzibar. Salty showers, small pool, cosy bar area, nice beach. 10$, probably not worth that money. Deserted most of the time, except for the odd Overland truck or the locals on Sundays.
Report Check-InThis place is horrible. Totally run down. Staff didn't seem to care at all. They only have salt water showers and a few buckets of rinsing water which were always empty. Toilets dirty. Second night was busy with a big overlander truck, so very noisy.
Report Check-InCamp under trees (sandy) or grassy area behind main building (sometimes Overlander trucks). Sometimes noise from next beach. Good base to explore Daressalam, let the vehicle here and go by (moto-)taxi to near ferry and town. Nice having a pool and spacy lounge area at bar/restaurant. Food is good, but overpriced. Wifi fluctuate from good to very poor. 10$ pppn is negotiable, still good value.
Report Check-In$10/person, which seems expensive for what you get. campsites by the pool on sand. salt water showers. you can leave your car there for $5/day if going to Zanzibar
Report Check-InWAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what it offers !! Staff seems not interested in doing their job, nothing more than a small pitch of sand right in front of the ablutions, watchmen charging their phone on the campsite power outlet, and kept ringing the entire night!!! Only cold water, hot water is broken and they are trying to fix it. Yeah, right!! Staff have only interest in their mobile phones and nothing more. Nice pool area. DO NOT recommend, especially for $10pppn.
Report Check-InCampsite is little more than a sandy spot next to ablutions. Place has a backpacker feel. Right on beach with decent restaurant. Owner is nice but never around and staff are a bit disinterested and flaky. Pool is nice. Horrible club music pumping until late. Ablutions have salt water showers and sinks, cold only. $10 pppn too expensive for what it is! Close to Zanzibar ferry. They let you park your vehicle for $5pd.
Report Check-InGood campsite, WC and showers. Took a room for 25$ but sheets where disgusting and haven't been changed. Asked for a change and the lady said I must wait till the morning. Went to the back washing area and took clean ones myself. 10$ pppn camping. 30$ room ext bathroom. Overland truck stop. Cool place to chill near the city. Cheaper non mzungu food next door or on the street.
Report Check-InNice campsite at the beach. Sandy sites for 2 or 3 camping cars with one electrical connection. Lange grass field for overlander trucks. Cold salt water showers with fresh water buckets. Salt water swimming pool. Restaurant with simple menu and bar. Possibility to park your truck for visiting Zanzibar ($ 5 per day). Camping fee is US$ 10 pppn but we paid $ 8 pppn after negotiation. Guard on duty .
Report Check-InOn the beach campsite. Cool bar and restaurant area with small huts to stay or camping. Store bikes there to visit Zanzibar.
