210 rand per person. We didn’t feel welcome here at all so we didn’t actually stay.
Report Check-InSame as previously described by ellengoesafrica. Sheltered kitchen area with electricity. One could pitch a tent under the shelter if it rains. Rates the same when we visited. Excellent campsite and well maintained grounds and ablution facilities. This in spite of the recent flooding in parts of the campsite. The Kotzeshoop road is awful but well worth the slightly longer drive to get here.
Large bags of wood available for sale. We bought baobab and karee trees from their nursery.
Nice campsite and friendly staff but the worse night sleep in 4 months of camping around Southern Africa. We chose a nice quiet corner of the camp and at 10pm 6 blokes turned up, made a fire, and laughted, joked and talked until 2am with total disregard for anyone else. No intervention from campsite staff and no security.
Report Check-InReally nice campsite with lots of green, clean toilets/showers, next to the river. It's located about 22km from the main road. Note that this is a sandy road and I would recommend using a 4x4 (needed for some of the road) Although there was some flooding going on in the area and some of the camping spots were flooded, the owner/bar staff were super friendly and chill and we stayed at a higher located campsite. Although you won't grab any internet connection, you can buy WiFi or in our case, the owner helped us printing our last documents before crossing the boarder to Namibia. A great place to relax! It's well known for rafting but even without doing rafting I would highly recommend the this campsite!
Report Check-InWe spent 3 wonderful nights here on the banks of the orange river. I would highly recommend this campsite. We paid about R600 a night for 2 adults and 2 kids. We also rented a kayak for R250 a day. If you're interested, they offer rafting, hiking and 4x4 trails.
Report Check-InAll as said before. Prices increased to 150 Rand p.P. Plus 65 Rand for the site.
Report Check-Inlovely lovely spot on the river. camspites with water / shelter and a firespot. 'chic shacks" - tin shacks w communal kitchens. they do trips on the river (multi day or 1 day), 4x4 drives in to the nearby conservancy and guided hikes. lovely showers and toilets and the herb and veg garden is great - you can pick some to cook with.
you can also order food - which is VERY good. nice bar, super friendly staff. highly recommend!
