Description

Designated campsite in Lavushi Manda national park. There are 3 sites, one of which has Bandas for shelter. One shelter burned down. Near the river with a lovely waterfall, especially in or just after the rains. Usually quiet, so a lovely spot to get away from it all.

Latest Check-Ins

Apparently not open when we got to the turn off. Road to campsite not maintained and heavily overgrown. River crossing to get further to the camp but the road is in very poor condition so didn't cross. We bush camped at the river crossing.

Report Check-In

Used to be a maintained formal campsite. All structures except for the fire places now none-existent. You need to be self-reliant! The road into the park from T2 now much better than in the past.

closed! very hidden in the forest - in case of fire no escape!

Extremely basic similar too wild camping. Very nice scenery and very quiet. We are SA citizens and paid ZK20 pppd entry ZK50 camping AND ZK150 per day for our car. Ita lot for the facilities. Very nice nature. The road is Ok but needs maintenance.

Report Check-In

No one came while we were here so we didn't pay, it's possibly deserted. There's firepits, fire wood, shelter etc. and a short bush walk to view the waterfall.
