NOT Donations, also no sign to let you know of the price. I was made aware when the owner knocked on my door. I put money in the donation tube and also handed her cash. $20 per night or $30 per night with water and electric, no other amenities.

Report Check-In

Clean and well kept. Close to the road so a little noise, but otherwise a great place to stop for the night.

Too good to be true? Nope! Seems legit! Donation tube near building and parking lot. No signage. Two others here when we pulled in around 5 on a Friday. Picnic tables, level spots, and lake front view. Way better than the Walmart back up plan, but we always appreciate anywhere that lets you stay!

Great spot on the lake! Full 4 bars on Verizon. Wish I would have found this one sooner.

drove past today, entrance completely blocked by snow:(((

I aimed for this place and missed it entirely. Stayed at Eddy Park Sunday Lake Campgound, half mile further along Hwy-28. I am making a note here so anybody trying for this place is forewarned. It is completely unmarked, far as I can see. It is on the left about 1/4 mi north if you turn onto 28 from I-2; directly across the street from a school and you might (or not) see an RV or two there. Right on the lake, but I did not see any real shade.

Came here thinking it was $20 donation with elec and water. Not so, it is $20 without elec & water, $30 with. And no shower or bathroom. Unfortunately, I do not recommend.

We stayed here last night, it was $20 cash to a gentleman who was staying in the 5th wheel on site. Jim was a friendly host.

Not free - suggested donations are $30 for hook up sites and $15 for non hook up if you can afford it. Beautiful spot, first come first serve.

One of the best places I have stayed! Try and get the spot down 100 feet on the right of the main spots. The one with the two picnic tables. It has power and water hookups and is super quite. I stayed two nights and slept amazing! Beautiful sunsets and a nice path to walk around the lake (I think it’s about 3 miles total)

Donation box at the front. Presumably you pay what you think is fair? Good spot on the water to park and sleep for the night. I slept in my car here. There are RVs parked here too, but I didn’t see any tents.

This donation campground is still available. I pulled in late on a Saturday night and the furthest lake spot was still available. Very nice area, safe, with beautiful views.

This is a great spot, there’s a donation pipe if you want to add to it. I texted the guy that owns it, he said that there were not any showers/bathroom with the code on the door. He turned the water off in preparation for the winter season. There was still power to plug into though!

amazing spot! ~45 minutes from porcupine mountains with a beautiful lake view, water, and electric. a decent amount of road noise but it’s not bad

Beautiful spot on a lake, cell service good, some road noise

Great spot on a beautiful lake , spoke with host sites are donation only. Water and electric dump at campground across lake for $5.00

Great place!
4 sites with electricity and water. Didn't see any facilities, but just stayed for the night and didn't check with the host. Right next to the road, but quite at night and not much traffic at all times.
There is a donation box at the entrance and we just put a couple of dollars in.

These are actually sites on privately owned land - the man who owns the massive historical building created or maintain these camping sites, donation based, for travelers to enjoy. The view on the lake was gorgeous, and the man in charge is wonderful - he provides the code to get in the building where there's a toilet and shower.

Report Check-In

Very nice spot, by the water. There is one that is situated solo behind the building. Accessible with a van or car. Would be perfect for a tent too.
Close to the road but it's pretty quiet. Thanks to the city for making this place available.
Also water and electricity, free. It is appreciated to make a donnation.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for a couple nights. Real sweet place, free* water and electricity! Nice and quiet spot right on a lake and within an hour of Porcupine Mountains.
*There is a "donations box" that we put a few dollars in.
