Latest Check-Ins

Not the best place if you are looking to relax after a long day. Avoid weekends and ask if there are groups booked. if you plan an early morning to go to Chobe, better to stay elsewhere. If you don't mind partying and only few hours sleep, this is the place for you. Hot showers, decent toilets and cool place/owners.

Very sweet little campground / backbacker, lovely local family running it. Might be a bit noisy when groups are around too. Perfect to escape the touristy places from Kasane. 70pppn.

No frills, basic but clean and friendly. 75pppn Hot shower and very friendly and helpful owner..
wi -fi good when it works

Got a warm welcome here from the women who take care of the place. Be aware that it is more a shared piece of land than a campsite. A (big) family is living in the place and they use the same toilets as you (only 1 ladies/1 gents) so it could be crowded. Also the door to the toilet leaves a huge gap when you want to close it, so say good bye to your relaxful morning toilet time. A young friendly child was hanging out with us in the evening and you also shouldn't count on any privacy. Its also quite noisy between the chickens, the loud music from nearby pubs/houses and also the family itself.
However and beside that, its definitely a beautiful place, decorated with love, and has much more character than any other campsite in Botswana. There is a lot of shade and its feels cozy, with all those trees and the dogs and cats hanging around. We liked our day there but it might not be the perfect place to relax multiple days :)
Too bad because it has such a potential. Maybe 2 more toilets will be a good idea ?
Wifi was intermittent but strong when it worked. They lite a fire for us with their own wood, really nice and unexpected. 70 pp.
Something very different than all the mass tourism accomodations in Kasane area. It's nice.

75 pppn. The cheapest option for camping in Kasane ;-) Local place run by local people. Tabo, the local girl who is working here, is very friendly and welcoming. If it is to stay overnight and go early or all the day, perfect because hot showers thanks a geyser and quiet night (no road nearly). electricity, fridge, kitchen. but no wifi, no pool. so if you want to relax and chill, go to Kwalape (wifi and pool for 110pppn).
150 pppn for double rooms or dorms.

Cheap place, 70 Pula ppn. No WiFi, but elektricity at the campside and warm showers. We stayed three days, for a drive to the Vik Falls and a game drive in Chobe. We saw a lot of different animals, and large groups of elefants on the way or at the Chobe River. Ali was a very good guide. Highli recommend. His phone number is: +267 71 136 276.

Nice place to stay for a while. Very friendly owner who helped us organize the onward journey. We stayed 3 days and felt at home. The campsite is nicely decorated. Water and electricity available. Warm showers with good pressure. Hammock and chairs around. Medium to good WiFi, depending on the distance. We can recommend it. It started as a nonprofit project.

Much better than expected from the comments. Nicely done backpackers with friendly, local vibe. Nice staff and wifi was reasonably fast. Had a quiet night until the roosters got active at 4am, but we had to get up at 5 anyway for our Vic Falls day trip, so we didn't bother too much.
If you can cope with some noise, we can highly recommend this spot!

Exactly what I needed, cheap and devoid of the holidaymakers, great place to meet some locals and its cheap! Wifi and use of kitchen, fire in evening, the place is small and more a local guesthouse but they made something of it and and it is a good place to chat to some locals and feel like you are in a village but it is noisy with roosters and people up at 5am. Enjoy the stories of Owen!

It’s maybe not the best place in the area, but it’s the cheapest: 50 pulas pppn.
You can meet local people (workers and friends), chickens, dogs, cats... It’s a bit weird, but if you don’t mind, it would be ok.
Hot showers (when electricity is running and water tanks aren’t empty), flush and long drop toilets and open kitchen.
If your car is big (like ours) or they are full, they will park you outside the gate, close to the fence, in a place which they call “little Bananyana” 😅. But it’s completely safe.
WiFi for free, although a bit slow.
