Bolivia
This is where the ticket office and the two local museums are. Entrance fee 100bob includes the two archeological sites and two museums. Guide for extra money.
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
If you like ruins. If you read some of the research about this place. If you are an archeology buff. Then stop here, hire a guide (many languages) and enjoy the site and two or three museums.
If that isn’t your thing, skip this oddly restored, hot, dusty location.
We decided to pay for the tour guide and she had a lot more information than the signs. She spoke English as well. The archeological site is beautiful, especially the subterranean temple and the sun gate and monoliths. The stone museum only has a couple of things but they’re worth seeing. And the ceramic museum has a lot of cool stuff. Pumapunku is also pretty cool and included in the ticket price.
Report Check-In100 BOB per person entrance fee, 100 BOB for a guide, up to us strongly overpriced. For us this site was very disappointing. Not much information, not well maintained. We didn’t take a guide. We at least expected to see (a part of) the irrigation system, that is described on the internet ... maybe it was somewhere, but there isn’t mentioned anything about it on the few poor information panels. We even weren’t allowed to take pictures during our visit outside ... our camera was ‘a little bit too large’ ... while it’s only a simple reflex camera.
Report Check-InDon't fly your drones here!
We saw a traveler on a bike fly a drone from the other side of the fence over the ruins and once the workers found out they chased him down and took him away to be censured and pay a fine (based on what we were told).
So unless you are a fast runner don't try it.
Report Check-InEntrance still 100BOB. Overpriced in our opinion. If you have seen a lot of other ruins I wouldn’t bother stopping here. Not as much information as I thought there would be. But then we didn’t hire a guide

Report Check-Inweek arrived late and the entrance was closed at 4 p.m. fortunately we met Clemente Ticón and he guided us to the place where they sell us normal tickets at 100 bolivianos and then guided asks all the Kalasasaya temple. He charged 100 bs. for the service. Excellent.
