South Africa
Right at the edge of town is this campsite on a pecan nut farm. Different areas to camp, all on grass with lots of trees for shade. Some places only accessible with ground tent but enough places to choose from. No electricity on site but the communal kitchen has a big fridge. There’s a pool and free WiFi.
Nice hiking and climbing options nearby. Easy walk into town. Very cheap even in high season only R100 ppn. Also has Backpacker Dorms R230 ppn

I spend 2 nights here ,very beautiful camping , whit lot of trees and birds, the view to the mountains is amazing, very clear, very comfortable, I loved this place.
Report Check-InThis is a very charming place, very friendly owner, with clean and proper working ablutions, with braai stands at sites, table and benches, big swimming pool and community kitchen. There are much better vibes than at the caravan parks.
We paid 350 for the the two of us on a site with electricity in high season.
Nice shadow under the Pecan trees. Our truck is 3,6m high and fitted without problems at the campsite, no deep hanging cables around. The branches are soft and won't harm your trucks.
Report Check-InLarge sites but no water, Braai facilities or dustbins on any sites. Good for an overnight stop. Ablutions are clean with hot water.
Had better for R150 pppn.
Nothing for high BigRigs (approx. 3m and higher). At the entrance, a low-hanging cable blocks the driveway and half-height trees in the driveway.
Report Check-Init's also a Backpackers with dorm rooms, good area to cook etc.. priced very well..! nice safty gate walking distance to shops & good restaurant. wifi good..! very nice owner very helpful.
Report Check-InA beautiful place with a few nice camping spots (some grass, some mulch and some under trees with a lot of shade). Clean ablutions. They have communal kitchen with electricity and water, but camping sites with no water and no electricity. There is a fire pit/braai and a table and a bin. Cost was around 120 pppn.
Report Check-InQuiet camping in middle of town - R 250 for 2 pax & dog in high season, which is very reasonable
Report Check-InNice grassy camp ground on a working farm. A lot of shady places. Each has its own Braai area. Clean ablution block. Big, well equipped kitchen area. Firewood for sale.
Very nice pool (ca. 20m long) where you can have a proper swim.
Some noise hearable from the Main Street crossing Montagu.
We paid R260 for 2 people per night incl. camper.
Renovation over, kitchen is very, very nice! Bathrooms are also pretty neat, there is a pool and tons of shady places for tents and vehicles. Owner+dogs are very lovely! Go here!
Report Check-InSee previous description. Now in the middle of renovation. Bathroom and kitchen need maintainance and very dusty. WiFi didn’t work. 110 rand pppn
Report Check-InVery nice spot with lots of room and friendly owners. Horses, donkeys and plenty of birds on site with lovely views of surrounding mountains. 100 Rand part person per night, ablutions good, power and water available.
Report Check-InNice and relaxed during the week, fully booked during weekends. Quite some restaurants nearby. Most of the guests apparently hikers and climbers. Paid 100 pppn incl. car.
They have a strong ramp you can use to work under your car.
Campground nicely maintained. However no electricity and no water points on the campground. Possibility to charge cell phones in mutual kitchen. Fridge for guests present.
