Latest Check-Ins

spend one night here. no other campers. a lot of space even for big rigs.
season ended, so everything was closed and quiet (the harbour has some whale watching tour offices). The toilets were open 24/7.
In season, you might be able to use the WiFi from the buildings there.
No cell signal at all.

Report Check-In

Nice big seaside square. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of mobile homes in mid-October that are ruthlessly running their generators.

Report Check-In

Great spot, very quiet and the sunset is beautiful!

We took the opportunity to go on a boat trip during which we were able to observe whales! At the top 👍👍

Report Check-In

Ideal and very quiet park up. A few drive to see the sunset and then leave. Cracking sunset. Little or no Cell signal

Report Check-In

Can’t say enough about this wonderful find. 8 other wanderers think so too. Waters edge and waves so gentle. Cone and enjoy!

Report Check-In

wonderful spot!!! just another van and us. and quite a lot of mosquitoes.

my fido Signal worked mostly, 0-3 Bars depending on the Wind.

Report Check-In

We loved this beautiful place so much, we stayed three nights. It is very popular, but no one bothered us. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Downside is little to no connectivity.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

another beautiful sunset.
in total 7 RVs today

Report Check-In

Probably the most beautiful place we've boondocked. Overlooking the beach, we were able to catch a spectacular sunset. Lots of locals drove in for the view. About 3-4 other rigs spent the night. Plenty of room for all. We spent 2 nights, absolutely perfect

Report Check-In

very nice views no issues lots of other vans.

Report Check-In

Many other vans and RVs, but there is space. We slept in a minivan + tent. It was very quiet and the view is superb !

Report Check-In

I stayed several nights and every night was shared with a few other rigs. Quite the view and free wifi is available outside the Harbour Authority office.

Report Check-In

Amazing spot to spend the night by the beach! We signed up for a Whale watching tour with Mark the next morning, saw whales and seals!

There’s no signal at all around here but the cabin with the Canadian flag has wifi posted in the window. We just used that and locals use it as well.

Report Check-In

Great spot for a night! Really quiet & you have access to the beach

Report Check-In

A lovely spot! The sunset was beautiful. There was a bit of traffic in the evening, maybe the locals coming to watch the sunset? Slept great.

Report Check-In

WOW!!!! I was not expecting this!

It was getting late while driving Cabot Trail. Found this spot and couldn’t be happier!!!

This is fantastic!

Report Check-In

Windy, but grandios view direktly on sea. Now with smal and great ice floes. Perfect Place.

Report Check-In

Large parking area right on the water at the end of a public street. Right next to Harbor. In Pleasant Bay take a right on Pleasant Bay road, right at the red timing store on your left. then taking immediate left on Harbor road. Go all the way down to the end. No signs prohibiting camping or overnight. a local merchant told us about this spot.

Report Check-In

Perfect when doing the cabot trail but not staying on campground in the park. We used the facilities in the park and spent the night here, outside the park. There were three others.
Very quiet at night.

Report Check-In

Great wide open space. There is a nice grass area next to the old baseball field. Wide open views of the ocean. 60MPH winds came through the night along with 6 hours of heavy rain. A local stopped by advised to seek shelter closer the the whale center due to the winds. We survived. Great for dogs to run!

Report Check-In

Wonderful view. Sunset incredible then enjoyed a fire on the beach ⛱️
4 other campers stayed as well.

Report Check-In

Gravel parking lot next to harbour and baseball field.

Report Check-In

very nicd place and quiet.
there is no cell reception we had issues and we had to call CAA, be aware that there is wifi at the little house with the canadian flag, check the password on the window

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

A great spot to spend a night or two, nice rocky beach to walk down and go swimming. Beautiful sunsets. A dozen or so campers and RVs on a Monday night but very quiet.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Quiet. everything as described. We were 10 RV's there. Rocky Beach, nice to swim in the clear water. There were have a dozen of seals around.

Report Check-In

super noisy on Friday night, people were in and out late at night, 3am, 4am, perhaps the people who go fishing. I couldn't sleep well at all for the night. The beach is rocky, sunset is beautiful, and there's a trail near by along the beach. The only washroom in the area is the whale interpretive museum, $5.75 tax included. The museum is small and nice, lots of information about whales and a short movie. It's good to educate ourselves how whales and dolphins are endangered by pollution, fishing etc. These magnificent animals need to he protected. I needed to use the washroom mainly so I went in, but ended up learning a lot about whales. Worth a visit. Washroom is for visitors only. There's a nice view of the harbor out of the museum window as well.

Report Check-In

Fantastic location. Great ocean and harbor views, plenty of space, quiet, sunset, and clean.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Excellent!

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

As described- a beautiful shoreline with a beautiful sunset view and bonfire on the beach. There were other campervans on a Thursday evening, safe place to stay the night. Fishermen/harbour workers up in the morning on the other side of us, but did not bother us.

Report Check-In

Very nice right beside the ocean. Took a walk along the beach. Nice to sleep to the sound of waves. one other vehicle but parked quite far away.

Report Check-In

Very nice place to stay that’s quiet and feels safe. We stayed at the large gravel lot behind the baseball field overlooking the beach. Some locals came to play on the rocks and have fires on the beach and left at sunset. There’s another lot near the whale tail sculpture which appears more scenic but we noticed the fishermen park their trucks there in the morning so you’d probably hear them coming in at 3-4am. Just be aware of that and leave them room. There was essentially no cell service even when using our cell booster. We got a sporadic minute or two by chance.

Report Check-In

We stayed one night there. There was 3 others vans. It was VERY windy. No way to open the top vent as we felt it would rip out. Even though there were a lot of activity at the port, we stayed there without being harrased.

Report Check-In

Wonderful spot, right by the beach ! Some young locals on quad and motorcycle until 9pm on a Saturday night then very quiet, just the sound of the waves and the wind. Highly recommend it !

Report Check-In

very nice place, very very windy at night, nice surrounding

Report Check-In

Terrific spot over looking the ocean. We were fortunate that there was no wind at all while we stayed the night. Couple others came to look at the view but we were the only ones for night. Lots of room for several vehicles. There is a beach to walk on as well plus the harbour with the fishing boats. Beautiful location. Would recommend.

Report Check-In

Very quiet. We stayed 1 night . No phone signal or WiFi here.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place for overnight. We saw locals fishing on the beach. Gorgeous sunset. In the morning we took the whales watching tour "Guaranteed whales" and we saw Fin whale on his trip.

Report Check-In

Turned right at the end of the road, and parked right next to the ocean. Lots of room here, including 2 returning locals using the land to camp in 2 big trailers. We confirmed with the whale watching outfits across the harbour that it was fine to spend the night. We also took a whale watching tour with Capt Marks Zodiac - definitely worth the $65, you'd pay twice that back in BC. Saw a 55ft Fin Whale.

Report Check-In

Great spot by the water and beach. Huge grass area for dogs to play. Camped here with two others. Weak WiFi signal available as well.

Report Check-In

Very quite at night except the sound of the waves and the rain we had. Bautiful beach, perfect for a lonly walk in the early morning!

Report Check-In

my first wild camping, everything was perfect until the wind catch up, it was a very scary night in a tent trailer...

Report Check-In

A beautiful, safe, and quiet spot just at the beach and behind a baseball field. There were 5 other people camping there the first time we went. And then a few days later when we camped there again, there were 3 others. We arrived at 7:30pm and left in the morning at about 8:30am to go to the park. This was a good time window as there really weren’t many locals around, so you didn’t have to feel like you were in the way of anyone. Definitely recommend this spot!

Report Check-In

We stayed a night here , very nice right in the ocean . Best parking is in area to the left of the harbour as all of the workers turn up early. Sunset was fantastic and lots of locals came down to see it. You can have a fire in the beach. All of the locals that we chatted to were very friendly.
No phone signal or internet. Highly recommend.

Report Check-In

Great Place to stay for a night or two. You probably won‘t be alone there, as the place is quite popular, but it‘s next to the beach and very quiet.
