United States
Quiet, pitch-black and right on the Buffalo National River. We heard coyotes howling through the night and saw an incredible amount of stars. Open year round and has 31 campsites available on a first come, first served basis. Picnic table, fire ring, and lantern hook included.
Off Season (Nov. 15 - Mar. 14) = Free
We camped in Dec., vault restroom only and trash pick-up, nothing else.
In season = nightly fee, but not sure I imagine around $10.
Running water and flushable toilets.

No electric. Has fire pit, picnic tables, bathroom. About 15-20 first come first serve spots. Beautiful river views and rocky beach area you can walk down to.
Report Check-InGreat area with some lovely sites with river views. Sandy beach in places, with some deeper areas for swimming in river. Very picturesque w/cliff walls & clear water flowing by. Bathrooms clean with running water/toilets.
Report Check-InWas pretty much filled up on a Friday night around 6 pm. Beautiful fall weekend so maybe that is why.
Road down is good, steep at places, but wide gravel road.
Dirt road, once you exit 7. Parts are steep but it’s pretty packed. No problems. Road dead ends into a loop. Camping is $20 a night. About 2/3 spots have walk down access to river from your site. Large day use parking lot for non campers.
Report Check-InAs described camping fee now $20 and $10 for seniors on a first come based. New toilet block with flushable toilets. Water fire pits and the amazing buffalo river. Very quiet end of April
Report Check-InCamped for three nights while kayaking on the buffalo river, beautiful spot close to the river, nice pit toilet and trash service. Awesome stars at night! Would definitely return. Free, no Verizon service, but works at the top of the road in. Some car noise from the highway in the distance.
Report Check-InCamped right next to river, to cold to swim but super awesome campsite, fire pits and pit toilets but no water . Free!! Stayed two nights , supposed to open in a few weeks so keep that in mind . River is super clear and large bluff swimming hole
Report Check-InBeautiful campground with 31 primitive sites around the perimeter all with water close by, free from November to March with a pink toilet and no other services water is only available along with flash restrooms during the peak season. Buffalo national river wrapping around half of the campground and a big open field in the middle great place for canoeing and quiet!
Report Check-InExactly as noted by the original poster. Easy to locate, secluded and very little to no cell signal. Only one other person camping while we were there. Camped about 40 feet from river which was very nice to listen to overnight.
Report Check-InAs described, this campsite is free in the off season, beginning November 15. The forest road leading to the campsite was do-able for our 18 foot travel trailer, and we saw a Class A RV also parked here, but it is not the easiest road either. 4x4 recommended if you are hauling.
Report Check-InGreat campground allows rv and trailers. I have a RTT and found a shady spot #20 great spot right on the Buffalo River. $20 a night nice quite spot.
