Free public parking (according the visiter centre) on grassy filed, 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor. We stayed with our RV for a week. Felt very safe, friendly people. No facilities, no free wifi. Small supermarkets and fine restaurant close by.

Report Check-InWe spent two nights here while exploring Villa de Leyva and some of the surrounding attractions. It should be noted that this green field is adjacent to a large school, and also serves as the teachers’ parking lot and staging area for late morning busing of the younger students. Other than students waking to school around 6:30am, it was very quiet, mostly level, and is an ideal location for walking into the heart of the colonial village. Wonderful views of the mountains and the clouds that hang in the high valleys. A bit muddy after a rain but nothing that impeded access
Report Check-InWe spent 5 nights here enjoying the town and the surrounding areas. For free camping, this is by far the best location in Villa de Leyva. Big field, very easy walk to town, great for our dog. Felt safe leaving the vehicle here at night. And, very quiet for being so close to town. There are some bad biting bugs (like noseeums) in the grass to be aware of.

Report Check-InWe arrived on a Saturday night and enjoyed such a quiet evening. We loved the fact we could grill outside too. Five minutes to the main plaza the next morning. Just perfect!

Report Check-Invery large lot that is suitable for any type of vehicle. very close to the center on foot. very quiet night, no amenities. Be careful if you access the city from the North by the 62, the road ends with 15 km of track.

Report Check-InGood overnight place, but park as far as possible from the school. Children are attracted by the camper, some like to be brave towards their friends and ... they don’t really damage it, but push and open what’s possible ... even stick chewing gum on it. Very early they are playing around during weekdays.
Report Check-InWe stayed 2 nights instead of 1 because spot is so quiet and just 5 min walking from main plaza. Jimena is living just in front and she speaks english and french and can help for everything. She is very nice.

Report Check-InFree parking! Fairly quiet, schoolkids in the AM. No water. No trash. No bathroom. But the walk to town is short. Felt safe and folks were friendly. And it was free!
