Latest Check-Ins

A CA State Park Ranger pulled up just after I parked and advised no overnight parking at this TH. He said the other pullouts toward Hwy 1 were ok.

Report Check-In

Nice and quiet. One other van parked here. Beautiful view.

Report Check-In

We stayed at the pull off just before the trailhead because it was farther off the road which felt safer for us. Great Verizon reception! Only complaint was that it was hard to get level without leveling blocks. Stayed 2 nights with no issues.

Our first official check in here, but having relatives nearby, I was very familiar with the area. We tucked our little Subaru into a slightly deeper and flatter turnout one below the actual trailhead. There’s actually several good safe/legal spots within a mile or so of here along Pan. Hwy. Check for signs marking the ones you CAN’T park in, but also be aware of which are safe to use. This Hwy is tight and twisty with little room for error. The best turnouts are not on the outside of tight corners. Traffic noise was minimal from about 9pm-6am.
Beautiful view of Stinson and Bolinas from up here. Anything you need is just down the hill in town. If you have the time, do not miss a morning hike along one of the trails here. See if you can find the old army bunkers overlooking the ocean.

Report Check-In

Make this more than just a place to sleep. Explore the hiking trails that start from this location. One trail goes down to the beach along a shady canyon that has a clear, flowing stream running through it. Another trail goes down to the town of Stinson Beach, and another one makes a loop up the mountain, around the other side, down to town then back here.

Strong and fast Verizon signal - 92.2 Mbps down/36.9 Mbps up. I would stay here again.

Report Check-In

Pretty unbelievable view. Away from the sea mist too so some sunshine in the afternoon/eve. right on the road so noisy but I'd say the spot is worth it.

Report Check-In

Great spot and great view. Lots of room for parking. Better suited to the smaller rigs/vans. You could park long wise, but there are hikers that come in the day. It is not 100% level, but it’s workable. I have no sprint service, but full service / 5G on my Verizon.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place to park! Great overlook of the water and plenty of space. One other car there when we got there, but we were the only ones staying overnight. A bit of noise from passing traffic, but that really died down once the sun set. Highly recommend stopping here on the way up the coast.

Report Check-In

same as above, side of the road action, cell coverage

Report Check-In

Gorgeous view but road is very heavily trafficked until 10pm, then starts early, 5-5:30am. Heavy sleepers, maybe; too busy for me.

Report Check-In

Small parking lot in front of trailhead. keep in mind trails are used heavily so it’s not the quietest spot! Stayed for one night and did not get bothered which is what matters!

Report Check-In

Got there at 2am Friday night, had the entire place to ourselves. Beautiful ocean view, cars and hikers starting around 8am - perfect for an overnight

another great spot just up the road! (they’re everywhere, they’re everywhere!). gorgeous overview of stinson beach from mt tamalpais state park turnout. not level but we can deal with that! a piece of heaven at sunset 🌅.

Report Check-In

This spot was really nice! It’s a big pullout, lots of room. I arrived in the dark and woke up to a beautiful foggy sunrise over the beach down below. Cool view. I saw 3 coyotes nearby after I woke up. There are trails just below this pullout you could even hop onto. As I took the panoramic highway to get here, I lost service but got it back before I got to the spot.

Report Check-In

Just as the previous reviews described it. Road side dirt patch with room for a number of vehicles. There was a bit of traffic until 10pm-ish and then it was quiet. Great view!!

Report Check-In

Not super level, and lots of road noise until the sun goes down, but there are a couple of spaces here to get somewhat level at if your rig is small enough (<22’). The rest of this trailhead is quite slanted as it’s on the right side of an uphill slope. Nice view of Stinson below.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for 1 night. Got woken up a bit early by the traffic but it wasn’t too loud for us at night at least

Report Check-In
