Description

We arrived on Friday 26 Jan . Reception charged us 28.000 for family place for a mobilhome and 2 persons . After long discussion we could stay for 2 nights for 35.000 . Place with electr , direct on the entrance . Could use showers , toilets , potable water . Place is full with local holiday makers . Places without electr for 5.000 p.p to avoid in weekend . Loud music .

Ignore your gps, it will take you the long way around and through a bad road. Best to let it take you to the access way from the main road at -27.111963, -70.8475929 and then drive to the west, entrance to the campground will be the 3rd gate to your left.

7000 pesos per person, 28000 pesos for a family. Each camp site has a BBQ and a covered area for the sun. Most spots also have a table and chairs.

Camping con luz eléctrica, agua potable,baños y duchas, tiene una linda y gran piscina, servicio de comida chatarra. Es un camping salvaje para los estudiantes.una locura, pero si no se topan con ellos,el lugar es bien cómodo.

Report Check-In

Great little place to camp, right on the beach, close to other sites but it didn’t matter when I was there because there were so few people! A lovely pool and little mini mart. 15 minute walk along the beach to the cute town. 8000 pp, sand sites, little tables and chairs at each site. Nice ladies that own it, a really nice vibe with lots of locals popping down to use the pool during the day. Nothing incredible but more than suitable for a night.

Report Check-In

P8000 per person. Nice place but does not have a direct view of the beach as the campsite is walled. Toilets, showers, swimming pool and a small shop. Restaurant is permanently closed. They have cabins too.

Report Check-In

8'000 pesos for one person on a bicycle/tent. average campground, could be better could be worse. very windy in the afternoon with some blowing sand -pick your spot carefully (I didn't!). lots of mosquitoes in the morning, until the sun comes up. Nice facilities but no hot water today. a good trip if you want a campground in the area. quiet midweek low season with about 5 groups camping, all can spread out, but if busy would be awful as sites right next to each other

Report Check-In

We stayed one night 2p and motorhome and paid CLP 20,000. Very clean facilities. Even in low season well maintained. Electricity, BBQ, tables and shades (covered for tents). Next to beach. Large site with pool, recreation area and restaurant. Perfect in summer. No possibility to load water for motorhome. Must be due to scarcity.

Report Check-In

Very nice place. It is off season, so we were the only ones. Paid 16.000 for two people with a mini camper. Hot shower and electricity. 10 min walk to the centre along a boardwalk near the sea.

Report Check-In

Very large commercial campground, sites are close together, but bathrooms are clean and pool area is beautiful! Off season price is pretty good 8.000 ppn includes power and water at the sites. High season price looked expensive for the sites cheaper if your in the back without water or power.

Report Check-In

An expensive camp near Bahia Inglese (10-15min walk).

Seems descent. Hot water, toilets OK, people are close-by (spots divided are a size of two usual car parking spots, has table and shade under which camper would not fit).

There is a swimming pool and two separate zones - family zones (with electricity but no water tap or sinks) and general zone (no electricity).

We paid 38000 per night for camper with two adults and a child. Payment by cash or transfer by bank.

To fill water they asked 3000 extra.

Kind of a rip-off. But we needed electricity.

Restaurant is not really a restaurant. It a bar that serves cheap burgers. No other options.

Report Check-In

Highly recommended. The owner Lily (I hope I got/spelt that correctly!) was very helpful and spoke a small amount of English. 7000pppn in early December for us and our campervan.
This place was very well kept and in a great location. The facilities were excellent and the showers were fantastic, even if a little slow to heat up. There was plenty of space when we went even though only half was open it looked like. Only a small number of other people were staying, making us jealous with their amazing smelling BBQs...
Some people were playing music until pretty late on one of the two nights but it wasn't particularly disturbing.
We took the access road as described by someone below, although the main road to entry didn't look too awful aside from one patch of sand in which 2(!!) 4WD vehicles got stuck - the sand is easily avoidable however!
I highly recommend this place to stay if you want a little break from all the wild camping!!

Report Check-In

Using this place as a kind of "base camp" to explore the region. We stayed there for a couple of one-night stays, always during the week, paid 14000 chilean pesos per night for 2 people (7000 pesos per person per night), no additional charge for our 2 vehicles (motorhome and pickup truck).

Not too busy (but then this is October/November 2021, during one of the pandemic let-ups, and not too many people travelling yet).

Some music (not too loud) during the day, at night they turn it off and 10PM or so (I think the owners enforce it).

Showers are just great, clean and hot and good pressure. Toilets also very clean. Electricity good at the sites, did not use their wifi.

Water to fill the motorhome tank was available for an additional 3000 chilean pesos no matter the size, not at sites but at a water faucet near the entrance, have to contact the owner and ask.

My rating would be 4 stars out of 5, not the best campground we stayed, but pretty good considering everything.

Report Check-In

If you like camping to have your tent 2 meters away from your neighbours, people who party with loud music and yell all night long, no view on the beach, this is perfect for you. And our experience was not even during week end... The village Bahia Inglesa itself is also overcrowded and nothing special here.
If you like camping to enjoy quiet and nature, just run away. I would recommend instead to drive 120km up north and camp in parque pan de Azucar, very quiet and nice sea view from camping spot. Or choose any other wild camp on any other desert pacific beach.

Report Check-In

paid 7000peso per person with Motorcycle, beautiful beach with good facilities include pool a d restaurant. bit crowded and noisy on Weekend.

Report Check-In

Only to inform prices were “adjusted”. We stayed for one night at 14000 for two people and MH. Excellent installations and location. 10 min walking to city center and restaurants through a beautiful walkway.

Report Check-In

7000 CLP par personne.
Eau chaude, pas de bruit la nuit, possibilité de faire un bbq. Très bien

7000 CLP pp. Agua Caliente, no ruido, possible de hacer un barbecue. Muy bien

Report Check-In

7,000pp (low season). Clean bathrooms, no tp, hot shower, potable water. Two pools, and beach/lounge chairs, really nice! Right in front of the beach. Each camping section has a picnic table and a bbq grill. Don’t go past the net (shade) with your car, we saw someone get stuck in the sand. There’s a restaurant, but it was closed when we were there. Safe. No WiFi.

Report Check-In

Just good enough for 1 night. Friendly, clean, good bathroom with hot water showers. Electricity, grill, but no WiFi. I got it only in an hotel in Caldera, 7 km far from here. Good price: cpl 7000 for 1 pax + RV.

Big, big camping place. Electricity at sites. No wifi. Toilets ok. Showers. Warm water. Swimming pool. We think crazy on hi season. For us, alone and quiet. No food services. Well located close to town. Big, big Club place.

Report Check-In

This is a lovely place! The owner was super friendly as were all the staff. Beautiful position with a super walk along the paved promenade to the town. Hot showers were the icing on the cake. I've added some photos as their up grades are finished. We stayed three nights 2 persons, 1 van off-season $12,000 clp.

35000 for 1 MH and 2 people.....
It seems to be normal charging high prices in this area.
We preferred wild camping nearby .

Huge camping next to the beach and on the outskirts of Bahia Inglesa. There are 2 different options : a campsite for families with electricity, a barbecue and a table for 35000 pesos or a campsite for youngsters with a table for 7000p/person. The size of the campsite is the same between both of the options, it’s on the sand and it’s protected. There is a place with loads of tables, barbecues and plugs for the youngsters. Hot water, electricity doesn’t work all the time (it’s switched off when it rains), toilets and showers clean. There is a swimming pool and a restaurant. We found it quite expensive, but it’s the best option in Bahia Inglesa.

Report Check-In

we arrived around noon. they asked for 37.000 from us. we only wanted to stay a night and leave early in the morning. seemed very full and they said, the pool would be the whole day closed to maintanance. very unfriendly - seemed they did not want us to stay. so we left

Report Check-In

Now in high season 35,000 pesos for a site, max. 4 people, 2 campers possible. Huge swimming pool with loud music. Facilities very good. White beach. They are building a bigger restaurant and discotheque next to the campsite. So far you can camp far enough from the pool music. Not sure what the future will bring when there is a discotheque.

Report Check-In

5000 pp. Great power facilities at site. Great bathroom & shower facilities. Netted covered area to protect from sun. Only a few others staying at this time. Set on but just back from the beach. Currently in the middle of renovations to revamp the communal areas (pool/restaurant/facilities) so looks like it'll be very impressive once complete.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Huge campsitie but completely empty at this time of a year. 5000CLP pp. Clean. Hot showers. No WiFi but good GSM range.
A few restaurants still opened in the town but no fresh food in shops (meat, fish etc).

Report Check-In

Hot showers, toilets are ok, average clean. A lot of space to park, but many people at the time of our stay. 5000 p per person, electricity at some sites, some shelters from the sun, but mostly in tent areas. No wifi, safe. Also many local people come here to chill with families. Bahia Inglesa itself crowded with many people during the day and evening, beach is nicer further away from the camping site.

Report Check-In

Paid 5000pp even for our young children. The pools were dirty but the showers were very clean and hot. We filled our water from the sink at the communal eating area. Pay extra to stay in the family camping area (with electricity) or you will be surrounded by hundreds of noisy teenagers. The beach was also covered in very smelly seaweed when we visited.

Report Check-In

nice place, lots of vacant spaces, over 100. Facilities are more than ok, clean an all times. A bit noisy because of cars and motorbikes, but all in all top place.

Report Check-In

Great spot to recharge your batteries after a lot of driving in the desert. They also have WIFI now but only near to owners house. We stayed on site 501 and hat WIFI all the time. In december is was nice because there was not a lot of people. Hot showers and clean bathrooms. In town there are some nice bars and restaurants with good food! We payed 5000 Pesos per people per night (=off season price!)

Report Check-In

After a wild camp for long time it was just a place to relax and do the cleanings :):) warm shower, potable aqua, power on side and not that expensive. For two days is perfect. We here on weekend and its pretty quiet but local saying Jan-Feb not to go its fully packed

Report Check-In

The only camp site open for miles coming from south. Still 5000pp from March to December, nice site well looked after and very helpful. Showers operated by push button, but you have to press the button in all 8 showers at least 3 times each to get hot water if there is nobody using them for a nice hot shower. Pleasant little town with some nice restaurants/bars and quite busy over the weekend.

Report Check-In

great place. short walk to the village. 5000 pppd.

Report Check-In

Nice place but we got there in the evening so it was very windy and didn't offer a ton of side coverage making it difficult to cook dinner. We chose the less expensive "young people" lots so we had no electricity or bbq but there was a nice wind proof space with outlets, tables and umbrellas surrounded by large walls. Fabric overhead all spots for shade. 10,000 for 2 people per night.

Report Check-In

5000 p p pn until the end of December. If no one at reception call at the house on the left just past reception. Fast WiFi and good cakes at Pinup snack bar on front.

Report Check-In

Massive place right on the nice beach. Near empty but must be crazy in summer. Showers not hot when we were there. 5,000 person.

Report Check-In

Nice in the winter. Camp sites are very close and it's probably a zoo in the summer.

Report Check-In

5,000 per person per night. Very comfortable and well maintained with nice view of the beach and water. Only complaint is the tap to wash dishes - very inconvenient!

Report Check-In

Nice, clean and quiet. we paid 5.000 peso p/p per night. worth a stay of more than one night.

Report Check-In

Huge place. "family site" is 25.000 peso. we took the normal site for 5.000 per person. dont know how the distinction is made however :). Hot showers, clean facilities. Common area (wind shielded) with electric plugs. campsites themselves are on sandy ground and have a fabric roof that acts as sunshield. public beach beach is 400m away. one of the best sites we had in northern chile so far.

Report Check-In

nice place, family site 25000 peso (1-4 Pers.) per site, normal site 5000 per Pers.

Report Check-In

Nice Place. We paid 10000 for two people and a campingcar.
