Nice spot up by the rocks but there are a lot of little roads with pull outs all around here after you pass the wind farm. this is state park but it's BLM land before the park. No campfires unless you can keep it off the ground. Cell signal is OK, have 4G data if you climb the hill a little or head East.

Road was at the limit of my 4WD Sprinter at two locations. We made it to a spot a mile or so short of the pin drop when we decided we’d had enough. Beautiful view of the lights of El Centro, Calexico, and Mexicali, not to mention the flashing red lights of the wind farm.
Report Check-InAwesome BLM camping, but lots of wind (it's right by a wind farm). Clean, felt safe.
Lots of the dirt roads aren't on google maps.
Report Check-InGoogle maps kept giving me alternate directions to this spot, and we were still 15-20 miles from it when we stopped in the middle of the wind farm. It was already dark and the road was too wash boarded for my rig. Not a single car passed us that night and it was a gorgeous morning scene. Very windy, as you’d expect, so we bumped it on down the road to the community center to the west to make breakfast.
Report Check-InBest location is on the southeast side of the central boulder pile. Also sites at both springs, where it dead ends.
Report Check-InThe trail is for high clearance vehicule. Lots of loose sand also. Many non official trails too so it’s easy to take the wrong path. May worth it if you are going to Mortero Palms.
Report Check-Inbeautiful spot. rocks we're beautiful, wind turbines were cool. would recommend to a friend
Report Check-InGreat, clean, quiet. No need to drive all the way to these coordinates as they are in a dry creek close to the mountain and shady early on. There are a few super spots earlier on. Coarse firm sand with lots of cacti around and very cool boulders.
Archeological site close by the Dos Cabezas Spring.
