Description

National Forest campground not far from Ghost Ranch. It's set in an area of sculpted red rocks, one part of which is a natural echo chamber. It's a small campground, and there's a day use area as well. There are picnic tables (no shade except in the group/day use areas), flush toilets, and potable water. Beautiful views, super quiet at night. I had decent TMobile cell service from some sites, not others.

This was free when I was there, but you can see the signs that they used to charge $10 for camping. The prices and deposit slots were taped over, but I don't know if it will be free permanently or not.

Beautiful little campground with around 10 sites. Each site can fit one or two cars or a van/camper. I arrived close to sunset and a majority of the spots were occupied but there were still a couple available when I went to bed. The views are beautiful and the amphitheater is a really neat site. There are bathrooms with running water that are kept pretty clean. Definitely happy I happened upon this hidden gem.

Nice small well kept Forest service campground. Has potable water at the handicapped area. Would certainly stay here again. I paid $10, not sure if I was required or not but I felt it was worth it anyway.
