This is a family-owned and operated hotel and restaurant. The price for a room is 125Q for one person or 200Q for two. We could not find any other decent options in the area on iOverlander. All other hotels we checked were 300-400Q per night. The rooms are clean, the wifi works well and the food is great. Private bathrooms. The family is adorably kind. We highly recommend staying here if you need a place before or after the border. They have secure parking around back. Call the number on the sign if no one is here.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A safe and clean little hotel after/before the border. We paid 270Q for 2 people in 1 room. The place is basic but it’s clean, has secure parking, and the staff are extremely hospitable and friendly. The restaurant is great too.
Report Check-InStayed here for 1 night before crossing the border into Mexico. The people who run it are really nice, parking is secure, hot water, paid 200Q for 2 people, no window room. Room came with 2 beds even though we only needed one, maybe all they had left at the time.

We headed to camp at Monte Carmelo but the road was blocked before the Zaculea ruins. We tried a different route but the road was not passable for our truck and slide in camper. We ended up stopping at Hotel Puerta El Cielo and they allowed us to park in their lot across the street for 40 qtd. They are extremely friendly and the food at the restaurant is very good. We're parked by the road so a bit of that noise but relieved to have found a place to rest for the night. We are able to use the toilet at the hotel from 6 am to 10 pm. I told them it was my husband's birthday and they surprised him with cupcakes and sang to him. Absolutely lovely people and the hotel looked really clean and safe.
Report Check-InNice place with free private parking round back for 5+ cars depending how much laundry they have hanging. Lots of space for motorcycles, big rigs could fit too, but the entrance to the parking is quite steep with a bit of a sharp turn that larger rigs may struggle with.
Very friendly staff, good wifi, great restaurant (open everyday from what I could tell) with a great buffet breakfast with lots of options for 35Q, cheap room (75Q single) without looking cheap, comfy bed, good view
Only con is its quite noisy (cat, dogs, cows, trucks, loud music at breakfast). Windows do not block sound well at all- I thought one was open I could hear the outside so easily. I sleep with headphones easily so it wasn't much of a problem, but others may be pretty restless
Report Check-InThis is exactly what I like for a hotel, secure motorcycle parking, restaurant, great service and inexpensive. Paid $75 GTQ 1 person. It was cold, make sure to ask for extra blankets.
Report Check-InVery cute hotel with parking in front of the entrance - 140Q per room without windows (or 180Q for room with windows).
shower with hot water.
The hotel is also a restaurant which you can eat on Sunday (and another day which i dont remember now), from a breakfast bofe for 35Q pp.
The only issue I didnt like is when we asked for laundry they offered to do laundery which we used to do around 50Q (and we didnt ask for the price before) and they charged 100Q.
Report Check-InLOVELY people, nice rooms, decent restaurant. Did say lovely people? seriously they are incredibly welcoming.
watch for the signs in the road for the hotel, it is on the left if coming from the North.
Nice hotel, very friendly people, rooms are clean and big, good tv good wifi, there is a restaurant and the food is good, hot shower, 130Q for 2 person (4 double bed in our room) and 70Q for 1 pers (our friend has 2 double bed)
