Javier, as others already wrote, SUPER nice. On a rather windy I arrived from El Calafate in need of a place. he readily offered the truck compartments for 3k, i.e. at cost and refused to take any more. good guy and best deal on my trip. Warm shower, kitchen access and a roof over my head. on top: goos wifi.
Report Check-InThere was someone art the AGVP who welcomed us. We could set up our tent wherever we wanted, but he also offered a room in one of the trailers. 3000pp, for a small space with two matresses, we could use the bathroom and kitchen. Very friendly. Free wi-fi.
Report Check-InCame with a bicycle and asked for a wind protected spot to pitch my tent. The guy in charge showed me a good place next to the old chicken coup behind some bushes. He also mentioned that I could sleep inside one of the trailers in exchange for a 'colaboración', which means a bribe. I told him I was happy pitching my tent. Didn't ask for water, but could probably have gotten some. There is a slow, but free wifi network. The gas stations sells chocolates and sweets, but has irregular hours and sometimes is closed for a full day.
Report Check-InWas also here on Javiers duty. Exactly the same experience as last check-in. Incredible hospitality, would be fair to pay, so don't be mad if you're asked - or offer a little yourself.
Report Check-InWent to Tapi Sike AGVB when Javier was on duty. I was fighting incredible winds going west. Javier offered a free bed, potable water, a shower, place has WiFi and to use the kitchen. Absolutely incredible. However dont expect all this, and I think it would be fair to pay a little. I tried, but he declined. Javier was a lifesaver!
Report Check-InThis place is very clean and helpful!!
3 Contenters with 2 beds. Shower, kitchen wifi.
Daniel is very sweet. Offer us a beer 😁
This place is so nice. Daniel have a 3 with 2 beds, shower and kitchen. We spend a night after Cerro Castillo go to El Calafate.
Very help full!
guy will let you sleep in the back or in the big hanger if you ask nicely. he also offers the rooms in the camionette. we were exhausted and paid what we thought was a fair price. there is water and kitchen/showers. it's not ilegal to pay the guy, plenty of agvp sites offer camping for a small price, pay it or don't and go camp somewhere else.
Report Check-InTapi Aike is just a petrolstation, policestation and AGVP (the men who take care of the roads). They are really kind!! They let me sleep inside, a dormitage. I could even use the baño. Perfect stay for the exhausted byclist!
