Côte d'Ivoire
Place located next to the beautiful sandy beach with some places to sleep and a lot of space to camp on the grass. Good Orange network. Very friendly owner (he started with his brother Raymond who died in 2021). They can cook some excellent local food, take you on a trip to the river and are very helpful with other stuff. You need a good 4x4 to master the last couple of kilometres from Sassandra as the road is steep and not in a good condition. 3-5000cfa for 2 and a camping car.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Beautiful place where you can camp on the grass just next to the beach. Perico is very fun and also the best cook of the region ! 5k to camp, 7k for the little rooms and food is from 5k to 10k.
Report Check-InFantastic place, grass and shadowed on a clean beach, friendly people, good food, accessible also with 4x4 trucks. Bad road last 600 mt (we did it with unimog), better to take the alternative longer road trough Godé (see photo).
Report Check-InI stayed here for a week and felt like I was in paradise. I traveled alone for 10 days With Toyota 4x4 because my husband had to go to France and here I really felt safe, Perico and the boys were always at my disposal and slept on the beach not far from the car for my safety. the owner was careful not to be disturbed by the children. if you ask, the boys can bring you water from the village or even some shopping. there are interesting visits to be made in the area.
Report Check-Inwelcome to Périco at Lateko beach. here everything is peaceful and relaxing. the manager of the place welcomes you on his land on the edge of the beach but with your feet in the grass. Perico is also a very good cook who can prepare very good meals typical of the country (fish, lobster etc...) we paid 5000cfa per night with a shower and an African toilet. the sea which is right next to it can be risky with young children because of the waves. it is with a heavy heart that we leave this little paradise. we will be back for sure....... Thank you Perico😉😉
Report Check-InProbably the most beautiful place we have stayed so far in West Africa. The owner Périco is super friendly, like everybody in the village. The children pass by on their way to school to say hello but never stay, really cute kids and well educated. 4G with Orange was super strong. No running water. Ocean´s waves are super strong but there is a safe place between rocks where you can swim. 5k for 2 people.
The shortcut to arrive at the place is 4x4 only, but you can do the loop (3km extra) with a 2WD easily.
Owner's number : +2250777518055
Definetly a place to not miss in CdI.
Owner Perico is very friendly. 2 small house to rent and plenty space to camp under coco tree. They have a bar but no electricity but they can buy ice, food and beer on the village and put it in s cooler. They can also cook local food or langouste, fish and breakfast if you want.
Waves was very strong ... not easy to swim ...
The best place to stay in Sassandra ! We paid 3000 CFA to stay without electricity. Basic Toilet and bucket shower but clean. We had a very good time and get some rest. Periko was taking care of us. Last night we ate lobsters and it's was délicious. Don't miss it !
Report Check-InThe place is called Plage Lateko, chez Raymond & Perico. What a wonderful place it is. A couple of days after our visit we learned that sadly Raymond passed away. Both have taken care of us very well. The food, mainly lobsters and chicken, is very delicious. The view from my camping spot was to die for: under palm trees to have an unspoiled view of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. The facilities are a bit basic but Perico is planning to improve them soon. There are also signs that soon there will be electricity brought into the village.
I was happy to pay 5,000/night for one person and one 4x4 to camp. You get a lot less for more money at other locations. No Wifi but 4G from major Ivorian Telecom providers is of good quality.
Real name as on the pointers: Plage Lateko Reymon et Perico. Nice personnel. Moto with 1 person is 3k. Car with 1person 3k. Car with 2 person 5k. Room is 7k. Reymons number if you dont find the place is 54238913/77518055
Report Check-InNice camping spot with the beach and ocean as your view. Unfortunately waves are too strong so there’s only a small area to swim near rocks. The owners, Remon and Perico (Geoffrey), are really nice guys. 3,000 CFA a night to camp (2 people and a 4x4), 9,000 CFA for 2 people for a fish supper, 5,000 CFA for 2 people for a vegetarian supper, 1,500 CFA for a huge bottle of bock beer and 500 CFA per person for fruit.
Report Check-InHad a super experience here, the owners are really kind and willing to help you for everything you need. I spent my birthday here and they even organized an amazing party with traditional music and dresses.
Report Check-InI highly recommend this place. Stayed here for a week or so. Beautiful beach, grass for the tent, nice little restaurant, they grow flowers and pretty little palmtrees... They just started, but everything will be very pretty in the future. The owners are really nice and helpful if you are in the need for whatever. They even invited me to a townfestival and got some traditional clothes for me which are important for that party. Its easy to make friends here.
Although the place is not walled or anything, security seemed good. All the people passing by know the owners and nobody wants to disturb their customers. Sometimes someone comes for a chat, but they always leave before it gets uncomfortable.
Stunning location, camped direktly on the beach. Super friendly owners, even got fresh coconuts in the morning! 5000 CFA for 4x4 and two people. Basic facilities. Definitely worth a visit!!
Report Check-InPlace located next to the beautiful sandy beach with some places to sleep and a lot of space to camp on the grass. Very friendly owners, who just started their business. They can cook some local food, take you on a trip to the river and are very helpful with other stuff. It's quite difficult to get here, because the road from Sasandra is not in a good condition. 3000cfa for 2 and a car.
